When there’s not enough room to turn these screws with a wrench, slip a screwdriver into their slotted drive. They’re about half as strong as medium-strength steel screws—use them for light duty fastening applications, such as securing access panels. The flange distributes pressure where the screw meets the surface, so you don’t need a separate washer. All screws meet ASME standards for dimensions and SAE specifications for material quality. Head height includes the flange. Length is measured from under the flange.

All screws have a zinc plating to help prevent corrosion in wet environments. Green-dyed screws are easy to spot. They're often used as grounding screws—the flange provides a wide, flat surface for making electrical connections.

Match the thread spacing of mating components. Coarse threads are the industry standard; choose these screws if you don’t know the threads per inch. Fine threads are closely spaced to prevent loosening from vibration.
