    Stainless Steel Phillips Flat Head Screws

    These screws are made of stainless steel, so they won't rust or corrode when exposed to moisture and chemicals. The Phillips drive has a cross-shaped opening in which a driver fits snugly for easy alignment. With four contact points, they withstand more torque than slotted drives, but drivers slip when you apply too much force.
    Length is measured from the top of the head.
    Black-Oxide 18-8 Stainless Steel—Typically chosen for their appearance, these screws have a dark, matte coating to create a finished look. They won't rust in wet and outdoor environments, but they don't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
