    Steel Phillips Flat Head Screws

    One of the most common drive styles. Phillips drives have a cross-shaped opening in which a driver fits snugly for easy alignment. With four contact points, they withstand more torque than slotted drives, but drivers slip when you apply too much force.
    Length is measured from the top of the head.
    Cadmium-Plated Steel—The plating reduces friction between the screw and your mounting surface to prevent sticking when you tighten or loosen them. It also creates a barrier against rust.
    Standard Profile—Standard-profile heads are the most common choice for flat head screws.
    Military Specification—These screws are manufactured and tested to meet strict U.S. military standards for material and construction.
