Memory Cards

These are the fastest class of SD cards. They are micro sized for use in mobile devices. All come with an adapter, so you can use them in traditional SD size applications like laptops.
Single-Board Computers

Combine the functionality of a PC with the flexibility of a development board’s digital inputs and outputs. These computers are faster than development boards and also have more memory, so they’re able to run multiple applications simultaneously. Use them to prototype or program complex automation jobs, such as controlling the movements of a robot arm or livestreaming video from a remote facility. About the size of a credit card, they easily mount inside control cabinets.
These computers run on a Linux-based operating system. To program, download an operating system onto a micro SD card (not included) and then transfer it to the single-board computer.
Use sets to start prototyping automation systems. 5-piece sets come with the basic hardware needed to get the computer up and running. Use them to run local and web-based applications for your system. 94-, 96-, and 97-piece sets include all of the hardware in the 5-piece sets, as well as some electrical components. Use the components to prototype your physical system, which might incorporate temperature and pressure sensors (not included) using the Qwiic adapter, push button controls, and LED indicators.
Active coolers have an aluminum heatsink with a temperature-controlled fan to keep your Raspberry Pi 5 running cool.
Real-time clock batteries are rechargeable and connect to your Raspberry Pi 5 to power the board’s real-time clock when disconnected from the main power supply.

Development Boards
Prototype electronics and build simple automation systems with the configurable inputs and outputs on these boards. Monitor both digital and analog devices, including proximity and temperature sensors, and control basic outputs, such as changing the speed of a servomotor or turning LEDs on and off. Their open-source software makes programming and troubleshooting convenient. Choose a board whose operating voltage can support the other devices you’re connecting to.
Boards with headers are good for making quick connections. Plug them in directly to breadboards, or connect them using jumper wire.

USB Hubs
Connect additional ports to your computer. These hubs can run off a computer’s power. USB ports are backward compatible, so they work with cords and connectors that meet the same or a lower USB standard.

Light Meters for UV Light
Measure the intensity of UV light to track equipment performance and ensure safety. These meters are often used in sterilization systems, curing applications—such as coatings and adhesives—and for monitoring blue-light UV radiation from welding equipment. All have a data hold function, allowing you to keep measurements on the screen so you have time to write them down. To preserve battery life, they shut off automatically. These meters are CE marked as meeting European safety standards.
Always wear UV-protective glasses and clothing when collecting measurements. These meters are not for use with lasers.
Meters for UV-A and UV-C wavelengths measure with two sensors, one for long-wave light and one for short-wave light. An included SD card stores timestamped readings in Excel format for transfer to a PC. Save and retrieve the high and low measurements you’ve taken using the minimum/maximum memory feature. The built-in tilt stand props these meters up, so you don’t have to hold them.
Plug an optional thermocouple probe into meters for UV-A and UV-C wavelengths to measure surface temperature. These probes are often used in curing applications to make sure material has reached the required temperature.

Light Meters

Measure light quality and intensity with these meters. They’re CE marked, so they meet European safety standards. They should not be used with lasers.
These meters measure brightness in footcandles and lux. One footcandle is one lumen per square foot. One lux is one lumen per square meter.
Use the data hold function to freeze a measurement on the screen, giving you time to write it down. Meters with minimum/maximum memory let you save and retrieve the high and low measurements you’ve taken. Meters that include an SD card store timestamped readings in Excel format for logging data and transferring it to a PC.
All of these meters measure general lighting. Style C-E meters measure general lighting only—they are not for use with LED lights.

Filament 3D Printers
Melt and extrude plastic filaments to build quick and inexpensive prototypes, custom and complex parts, and manufacturing aids such as jigs and fixtures. These 3D printers are also known as fused filament fabrication (FFF) and fused deposition modeling (FDM) printers. They meet U.S. and international standards for safety.


LulzBot printers are compatible with many different materials, so they’re useful across a wide range of applications. They have a minimum layer height that is twice as thin as MakerBot printers, meaning they print a finer level of detail. LulzBot printers come with open source software, so you can manually adjust temperature and print settings. All have heated printer beds to prevent parts from warping during cooling.
The TAZ Workhorse and TAZ Pro printer beds are reversible—prints adhere well to the PEI glass side, while the borosilicate glass side is especially flat for perfectly level prints. The TAZ Workhorse printers have the best combination of size and speed in our offering. The TAZ Pro printers are not as fast as the Mini 3 or the Workhorse, but have dual extruders so you can print structural supports. Dual extruders can also print two different colors into a single part.

Video-Recording Borescopes
View hard-to-reach areas live on the display. The camera is fitted with an LED, so you can inspect the interiors of machines and ducts. These borescopes can record video and allow you to view recordings on a PC monitor.
Style B borescopes have a smaller diameter and a longer cable than other borescopes to inspect deep inside intricate systems. They have a shorter viewing distance in total darkness, but you can move the camera closer to your inspection area for a better view. Adjust the brightness of the light on the borescope to reduce glare or reflections from shiny surfaces.
Style C borescopes include a hand controller, so you can bend the tip of the scope without removing it from the inspection area. Turn the knob to bend the tip up to 180° in two directions.
Style D borescopes give you 360° control over the tip. Their hand controller has a joystick that you can use to bend the tip up to 180° in all directions without removing it from the inspection area. Use the included magnetic stand to hold the borescope when it’s not in use.

Multi-Camera Video-Recording Borescopes with Built-In Monitor
View live footage from two inspection angles directly on these borescopes. Great for collaboration, the LCD monitor is big enough for multiple people to see. These borescopes also store images and video to an included SD card, so you can transfer them to other devices for future reference or compliance needs. Because they have two cameras, you can quickly toggle between the front and side view instead of backing up and turning the probe. Bend the flexible probe to pivot into tight spaces. These borescopes are often used to inspect equipment, tanks, drains, and HVAC systems for repairs. Both cameras have an LED light to illuminate dark areas. To adjust the brightness of the light or change the camera’s view, use the controls on the handle.
Rated IP67, these borescopes won’t get damaged from dust, even in areas with continuous airflow. They can also withstand temporary submersion in up to one meter of water.
Borescopes with two-way tip control maneuver through winding passages since you can bend the tip in either direction using a knob. They combine the pliability of flexible probes with the control of rigid probes.

Borescopes For Smartphones and Tablets

Connect these borescopes to your smart device to take high-resolution photos and videos of hard-to reach areas. The camera is mounted on a cable and surrounded by bright LEDs, so you can inspect the dark interiors of machines and ducts. Download an app onto your device to control the lights and camera, as well as to record, store, and share images and video. Your smartphone or tablet functions as the screen to view images and videos.
Borescopes with a flexible probe bend to navigate around corners and obstacles better than a rigid probe. They have more precise positioning of the camera to see into nooks and crevices.


With an attached LCD screen, you can also view the live image directly on this borescope. Use the included microSD card to store photos and videos. The probe has two-way tip control, so it bends up to 180° in two directions and is controlled with a knob. The bend will maintain itself until the knob is turned. Rated IP65, they’re protected from dust, even in areas with continuous airflow. They also stand up to low-pressure jets of water. They’re battery powered and come with a USB charging cable for recharging them.

Heat Stress Monitors
Measure temperature, humidity, and radiant heat in your work area to keep your team safe from heat-related hazards. These monitors help you avoid dangerous conditions and comply with OSHA standards for a safe work environment. They use a variety of measurements from your surroundings to calculate the heat stress index and the wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT), which tell you how hot it feels. Set a maximum wet bulb globe temperature, and an alarm will go off when heat reaches the safety limit.
These monitors have two sensors. One measures temperature, humidity, dew point, and wet globe temperature. The other measures black globe temperature, which is the effect of direct solar radiation on an exposed surface. Carry monitors with you to measure different areas, or mount to your tripod to measure conditions over time.
To maintain their accuracy, monitors should be calibrated once a year. You can calibrate the monitor yourself using humidity standards. These standards contain a known humidity, so you can adjust your monitor until it reads the humidity correctly.
Monitors that come with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST have passed a test for accuracy.
Power these monitors with the included batteries, or add a power adapter to plug them in.

Opening-and-Closing Torque Testers for Caps and Knobs

Measure the twisting force needed to tighten or loosen caps and knobs with these torque testers. Four adjustable gripping posts clamp round and irregularly-shaped containers. Twist the top by hand to measure force or use it to calibrate your capping machine, so it applies the right amount of force in a production line. For the most accurate performance, the maximum torque you’re applying should fall near the middle of the tester’s torque range. If you accidentally exceed the torque range, these testers have overload protection to prevent damage to the measuring system.
View torque measurements, change operating modes, and switch units of measurement on the LCD screen. Store data on the microSD card, transfer it to your devices via Bluetooth or USB, or print using the DB9 cable. The I/O cable connects to controllers to operate other devices dependent on torque force readings.
Testers with a calibration certificate with test data traceable to NIST meet standards for accuracy.
