    Thread Sealants for Oxygen Systems

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thread Sealants. Thread Sealants for Oxygen Systems, Tube.

    Tube

Completely free of oil and chemically inert, these sealants are safe to use with wet and dry oxygen systems. They contain PTFE, which provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants are non-hardening, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools.
Tube—The sealant in a tube is a good alternative to thread sealant tape—like tape, it forms PTFE strings between tightened threads, but excess material liquefies, so it won’t clog system components downstream.

    Thread Sealants for Refrigeration Systems

For use in refrigeration systems and applications exposed to strong chemicals, these sealants have excellent solvent resistance.
    Anaerobic
Image of Product. Front orientation. Thread Sealants. Thread Sealants for Refrigeration Systems.
Anaerobic sealants don’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air. These sealants have medium locking strength, which prevents threads from loosening with vibration and shock. They require a hand tool to unthread.

    Nonhardening
Image of Product. Front orientation. Thread Sealants. Thread Sealants for Refrigeration Systems.
Non-hardening sealants never fully harden, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools. These sealants are NSF registered H2 for use in food-processing areas, but they can’t come into contact with food.
