Flat-Body AC/DC Metallic-Object Proximity Switches
Mount these flat inductive switches to a base or rail to remotely detect metallic objects in wet and dirty environments. Because these switches have a flat body and long sensing range, they are ideal for noncontact detection of metal objects in position sensing and part presence applications. Use them where cylindrical switches will not fit. Sensing distance is based on the target material. The distance listed is for mild steel. All switches meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.
Projecting switches are also known as non-embeddable or unshielded switches. They must be mounted with the area around the sensor face free of metal. They have a longer sensing distance than flush switches of similar size.
IP65 rated switches protect against dust and low-pressure jets of water.
