About Shaft Couplings

Often used in electronics manufacturing facilities and other extra-clean environments, these shaft couplings are cleaned and individually bagged to keep out contaminants. Their plastic center also doesn’t outgas much, helping keep contaminants low as well. All are compatible with most commercial acids except concentrated nitric and sulfuric acid. Also known as Oldham couplings, their slotted center lets the hubs slide independently, so they’re good for applications with parallel shaft misalignment. They never require lubrication.
