Powered by the sun, these lights illuminate outbuildings, shipping containers, and other remote places that lack electricity. They also store up to 12 hrs. of runtime that can be split over several days, so they brighten spaces even on cloudy days and at night. And don't worry about accidentally leaving the lights on and draining the battery—a timer switch turns them off after a set period of time, up to 2 hrs. To maximize battery runtime, these lights use energy-efficient LEDs. They cast a neutral white light that's found in most workspaces and make colors appear natural and vibrant. IP65 rated, they’re dust tight and can handle sprays of water such as those from a garden hose. This means wind, rain, and snow won’t be a problem.

They include all you’ll need to install them: a solar panel, battery, lights, and a timer switch, plus cables to connect them. The lights and solar panels have magnets as well as mounting holes. Pop them on metallic surfaces or bolt them down for permanent installation (fasteners not included). The battery works best when insulated from extreme temperatures—mount it inside your structure for optimal runtime. But if you have to install it outdoors, the battery will be protected from weather in a stainless steel enclosure that’s NEMA 3R rated.

Lights with a 100W solar panel work well in areas with at least 4 1/2 hrs. of direct sunlight between 9 AM and 3 PM. Lights with a 200W solar panel work well in areas with less than 4 1/2 hrs. of direct sunlight between 9 AM and 3 PM.

Two ceiling lights cover up to 160 sq. ft, about the size of a 20 ft. shipping container or small storage area. Three ceiling lights cover up to 320 sq. ft, about the size of a 40 ft. shipping container or small workshop.
