    High-Strength Expandable Wire Sleeving

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Sleeving. High-Strength Expandable Wire Sleeving.
With excellent torsional strength, this sleeving withstands the extreme twisting found in robotics. Made of carbon fiber, it has impact strength similar to steel yet is lighter than plastic and rubber. Resistant to corrosion and chemicals, it’s often used to protect brake lines and hydraulic lines. It’s expandable, so it stretches to fit over items for easy installation, then tightens around its contents for a secure fit. The braided construction permits heat and moisture to dissipate. Cut with scissors or a hot-blade knife.

Blankets that protect against sparks, welding spatter, and molten metal splash resist heat up to 1800° F, enough to protect you from heavy sparks and molten metal during MIG or stick welding.
Carbon Fiber—Carbon fiber blankets are lightweight and soft—they’re less irritating than fiberglass blankets, so you can throw them over your arm without thinking twice. Since they have a tendency to catch metal shards, don’t use them during grinding.

Image of Product. Left Hand. Front orientation. Left Hand. Low-Profile Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets.

    Left Hand

Also known as pancake welding helmets, these helmets have a flat face so you can get close to your welds. They’re often used when welding pipes, but are also useful where a standard welding helmet would be too bulky. These helmets extend further on one side than a standard welding helmet does for increased face protection from UV light, sparks, and spatter. A balsa wood box mounted inside the helmet fits around your face and eyes to block all light, even when working outdoors. Sand the box for a customizable fit. Designed for all-day comfort, they’re made of lightweight carbon fiber and have an open back for plenty of airflow.
These helmets have a large viewing area for a clear view of your workspace. The instant you start to weld, the lens darkens. Solar cells recharge the helmet’s battery while you work.
Choose a helmet based on which hand you use to hold your torch—they’re designed to protect the side opposite your welding hand, where sparks are most likely to fly. This means that left-hand helmets extend further on the right while right-hand helmets extend further on the left.
Carbon Fiber Helmet—Warning: These helmets are made of carbon fiber, a conductive material. Never let them touch the welding rod holder and the material your ground cable is on at the same time. This could result in electrical shocks, burns, or eye injuries.
Welding Lens Optical Clarity—Optical clarity measures how clearly a welder can see through the lens based on four categories: visual accuracy, light diffusion, consistency, and distortion. Each category is given a rating on a scale of 1 to 3. The lower the number, the better the clarity. Better optical clarity allows for precise welds, reduces eye strain, and improves focus.

    Composite Fiber Aramid Honeycomb Panels

Image of Product. Front orientation. Aramid. Carbon Fiber Face.

    Carbon Fiber Face

With an aramid honeycomb core sandwiched between carbon fiber or fiberglass for rigidity, these panels are strong, but lightweight, and won’t conduct heat. Often used as wall panels in structural and insulating applications, they’re a lightweight alternative to solid composite and aluminum honeycomb panels.
Carbon Fiber Face—Carbon-fiber-faced panels are stronger and more rigid than fiberglass-faced panels, so they resist deforming from bending, twisting, or buckling. They will, however, splinter from high-impact blows. These panels are lighter than fiberglass-faced panels. However, they conduct electricity, so don’t use them around electrical components.

    Ratchet Adjustment

Lightweight yet strong and durable, carbon fiber hard hats protect your head and you can wear them all day. They resist heat better than HDPE hard hats, making them a good choice for foundries, refineries, and other environments with high ambient heat. These hard hats are rated Type I to protect against blows to the top of the head only. They're also designated as Class C, which means they're not tested for electrical protection. For a snug fit, turn a knob on the back of the helmet to tighten suspension. A sweatband prevents perspiration from getting into your eyes, and mounting slots allow for attachments like face shields and earmuffs.
Cap Brim—Cap brim hard hats keep the sun out of your eyes with a brim that extends out in one direction.
Full Brim—Full brim hard hats protect your head and neck from sun, rain, glare, and splashes.
Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS)—Hard hats with a Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) help prevent brain injuries during an accident. They have a low-friction layer inside the helmet, which allows your head to shift slightly during impact. This slight shift directs rotational force away from the brain, reducing your risk of injury. They are also forged, which makes them an additional 25% lighter than woven hard hats without sacrificing safety. The chin strap keeps the hard hat securely on your head.
Foam Shell—Hard hats with a foam shell have padding that absorbs impact to reduce force on the neck and head.
