Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Base Layers

Wear these fitted garments under clothing for an added layer of protection against intermittent exposure to flames and radiant heat. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 1 or 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. All base layer materials are lightweight, breathable, and moisture wicking for added comfort.
They all comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 standards for flame and arc flash protection.
Cotton/acrylic base layers are stretchy for increased mobility and range of motion.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Jackets

These jackets meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 4. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. These jackets are made of a durable modacrylic/aramid blend. They have a flap in the front that conceals the zipper.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these jackets.
Arc-Flash-Protection Clothing Kits
For protection from arc flash hazards, these kits include several of the safety items you may need. All items meet NFPA 70E for protection against flames and electrical arc flashes.
Choose clothing that meets the arc rated personal protective equipment (PPE) category required by your workplace. PPE Category 2 kits have the most common arc-flash-protection rating for industrial applications. Style B kits come with a hard hat, face shield, hood, coveralls, and two storage bags.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any garments you expect to wear under the protective clothing.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Bib Overalls

These overalls meet NFPA 70E for protection against flames and electrical arc flashes. They’re adjustable for a snug fit that shields skin from hazards while keeping you mobile—tighten and loosen the suspenders and secure cuffs around boots with hook and loop straps. Choose a bib overall that meets the arc rated personal protective equipment (PPE) category required by your workplace. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
Find your waist size by measuring just above the top of your hip bone. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these overalls.
Cotton/nylon overalls are rated Category 2 for protection against arc flashes, which is the most common rating for standard industrial applications. They are soft yet wear resistant, so they’re more breathable than modacrylic/aramid overalls. A water-resistant coating on these overalls keeps you dry. They have leg zippers, making it easy to pull the overalls over bulky boots. With hip slits on both sides, you can reach through to your pants pockets.
Modacrylic/aramid overalls are rated Category 4 to provide the highest level of protection from arc flashes. Made from the same material as the outer layer of a firefighter’s jacket, these overalls are extremely durable.

Ultra-Flame-Resistant Clothing Kits

Withstand flash fire for up to 8 seconds—the clothes in these kits can protect you for twice as long as most flame-resistant clothing. Made of rayon/aramid, the coveralls and mask absorb moisture to keep you cool and comfortable.
The coveralls have a 10 ft. Kevlar strap, so nearby teammates can pull you to safety without putting themselves at risk if there’s a fire. The reflective stripes keep you easy to see where there's low visibility. The zipper closure on the front is covered by a hook-and-loop flap so it doesn't scrape equipment or get hot. The legs have zippers on the sides as well, so you can fit them over bulky boots. Tighten the hook and loop straps on the bottom of the pants to keep flames out. The sleeves have cuffs with thumb holes to keep the sleeves in place and prevent flames from sneaking in.
Measure around the fullest part of your chest to determine your size. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under the coveralls.
Clothing kits cannot be sold to the listed areas due to product regulations.
