Choose the right countersink angle, body diameter, and number of flutes for your application.

    Countersinks for Screws

Cut a cone-shaped opening in a hole so your flat- or oval-head screw sits flush with the surface. Choose an 82° countersink angle for inch screws or a 90° countersink angle for metric screws.

These versatile, wear-resistant countersinks cut cleanly in most materials, including plastic, aluminum, and steel.
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated—Withstand heat, corrosion, and abrasion better than uncoated and black oxide countersinks, so they stay sharp over longer periods.
Number of Flutes—Countersinks with fewer flutes reduce chatter, so you can run them at high speeds. Countersinks with a higher number of flutes remove more material per revolution, leaving a smoother finish and extending tool life.

The hardest and most wear-resistant countersinks you can buy. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so use a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage.
Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN) Coated—The hard, smooth finish prevents chipping and wear and reduces friction to keep material from building up.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) Coated—Harder than TiCN, these countersinks cut without chipping in iron, titanium, and other metals as hard as Rockwell C50.
Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coated—Our hardest and most wear-resistant countersinks, these cut through metals as hard as Rockwell C70 without losing their sharp cutting edges.
Number of Flutes—Countersinks with fewer flutes reduce chatter, so you can run them at high speeds. Countersinks with a higher number of flutes remove more material per revolution, leaving a smoother finish and extending tool life.

    Countersink Sets for Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Countersinks. Countersink Sets for Screws.
Cut cone-shaped recesses for screws of various diameters so the screw head sit flush with the surface. Choose an 82° countersink angle for inch screws or a 90° countersink angle for metric screws.
High-Speed Steel—These versatile, wear-resistant countersinks cut cleanly in most materials, including plastic, aluminum, and steel.
Carbide—The hardest and most wear-resistant countersinks you can buy. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so use a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage.
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated—Withstand heat, corrosion, and abrasion better than uncoated and black oxide countersinks, so they stay sharp over longer periods.

    Carbide-Insert Countersinks for Rivets

Your best bet for countersinking dozens or even hundreds of holes economically. When the blade begins to wear, rotate the insert to expose a fresh cutting edge. Once all the edges are worn, pop on a new insert instead of sharpening or throwing away your countersink.

    Countersink Sets for Lathe Centers

Cut holes for a range of lathe-center diameters. The 60° angle creates a precise recess for both rotating and stationary lathe centers, keeping your workpiece aligned as it spins.
