Miniature Snap-Acting Switches

Plunger
Smaller than standard snap-acting switches, these switches trigger actions in tight spaces. They’re used in components as small as computer mice and engine restart switches. They open and close circuits faster than other switches, preventing contacts from sticking by reducing the time that they're near one another. These switches also minimize the chance of arcing, so electricity won’t jump across contacts.
Switches with a plunger actuator send a signal when the actuator is pushed directly downward. They have the smallest actuator of the actuators here, reducing the risk of accidental switching.
