Attach these extensions to your socket for a longer reach. Use with hand-drive tools only.
Chrome-plated extensions have a smooth, shiny surface that resists corrosion and is easy to clean.
Black-oxide extensions aren’t as smooth as chrome-plated extensions, so they’re easier to grip when dirty or wet. Oil them periodically to maintain their corrosion resistance.

Secure-Hold Socket Extension Sets

Secure-Hold Socket Extensions
Lock your socket into these extensions to prevent accidental disengagement. Also known as positive-locking extensions, they have a ball that secures your socket and only retracts when you pull the collar back. This creates a stronger hold than standard extensions. Use them with hand-drive tools only.

Impact Socket Extensions
Attach to your socket for a longer reach. These extensions are made to withstand the high torque and force of impact tools.
3/4", 1", and 1 1/2" square drive size extensions require a locking retainer. Use with an impact wrench that has a pin-style socket retainer, or use a socket retaining ring with tools that have a hole- or hole-and-ring style socket retainer.

Secure-Hold Impact Socket Extensions
Lock your socket into the extension to prevent accidental disengagement. Locked in place by a ball that retracts when the collar is pulled (also called positive locking), these sockets hold more securely than our standard extensions. These extensions are thicker than standard extensions, and also have enough give to flex under high force without breaking. This makes them a good choice for use with impact tools.

Flex Impact Socket Extensions
Attach one of these extensions to your impact socket to turn fasteners in hard-to-reach spaces. The flex head pivots to access fasteners from an angle. Made of one integrated extension and flex adapter rather than two pieces, the design lowers the risk of an adapter falling as you reach into your workspace. These extensions are sturdy enough to withstand the high torque and force of impact tools.
These extensions require a locking retainer. Use with an impact wrench that has a pin-style socket retainer, or use a socket retaining ring with tools that have a hole- or hole-and-ring style socket retainer.

Continuous-Duty Socket Extensions
First developed for aerospace and automotive assembly processes, these extensions will stand up to your high-volume production and assembly lines. They're hardened to resist wear yet have enough flex to withstand the high torque and force of impact tools without cracking. Use them to lengthen the reach of your impact socket.
3/4" square drive extensions require a retaining ring when used with impact tools that have a hole- or ring-and-hole style socket retainer. They work without a retaining ring when used with impact wrenches that have a pin-style socket retainer.
