Chrome-plated extensions have a smooth, shiny surface that resists corrosion and is easy to clean.
Black-oxide extensions aren’t as smooth as chrome-plated extensions, so they’re easier to grip when dirty or wet. Oil them periodically to maintain their corrosion resistance.

Secure-Hold Socket Extension Sets
Reach a variety of spots with the confidence that your extension won’t disengage. Also known as positive-locking extensions, these extensions hold sockets in place with a ball that only retracts when you pull the collar down. They lock to your socket more securely than other extensions. Use them only with hand-drive tools.
Wobble Socket Extension Sets
Tighten and loosen fasteners in hard-to-reach spots with a variety of extensions that lengthen the reach of your socket. Each extension has a rounded male end that pivots in the socket’s square drive, so you can even make adjustments at awkward angles. Use with hand-drive tools only.

Secure-Hold Socket Extensions

Secure-Hold Impact Socket Extensions
Lock your socket into the extension to prevent accidental disengagement. Locked in place by a ball that retracts when the collar is pulled (also called positive locking), these sockets hold more securely than our standard extensions. These extensions are thicker than standard extensions, and also have enough give to flex under high force without breaking. This makes them a good choice for use with impact tools.

Secure-Hold Impact Socket Extension Sets
Also known as positive-locking extensions, these extensions hold sockets in place with a ball that only retracts when you pull the collar down. Designed to prevent accidental detachment, they lock to your socket more securely than other extensions. They’re thicker and less brittle than manual extensions, so they withstand the high torque and force of impact tools. They flex slightly when force is applied, so they’re less likely to break. Impact Flex Socket Adapters
Convert your impact socket into a flex socket to access fasteners from an angle. Also known as universal joints. These adapters are sturdy, so they’ll withstand the high torque and force of impact tools.
Adapters with 50° access angle have two pivot points to reach fasteners at an angle twice as steep as standard adapters.
Adapters that list a compatible retaining ring ID require a locking retainer. Use with an impact wrench that has a pin-style socket retainer, or use a socket retaining ring with tools that have a hole- or hole-and-ring style socket retainer.

Impact Torx Bit Sockets
These sockets fasten Torx screws often used in vehicles, bicycles, and electronics. Also known as star drives. They’re sturdier and have more give than manual-drive sockets, so they'll withstand the high torque and force of impact tools. You can use these bit sockets to drive fasteners with a Torx Plus drive style, but they won't grip as well.
