Forward Descent Space-Saving Stairs

These stairs have offset steps that allow for a comfortable and safe forward descent. Set at a steeper angle than our standard stairs, they require less floor space. Steps are perforated for good slip resistance.

Note: Stairs meet OSHA or Cal/OSHA dimensional and construction standards. Check local, state, and federal codes, including OSHA, for safe set up and operating practices.

Also Available: Other landing heights (dimension A) from 3 _1/2 feet up to 20 feet. Please select 7946T9 and specify height in inches. To determine the price, multiply your landing height in inches by $20.20 and add $362.28.

Space-Saving Stairs

Also known as ship's ladders, these stairs have a 75° climbing angle to fit in pits, trenches, wells, and other tight spaces. Handrails extend 42" beyond the top landing for a walk-through exit. Steps are perforated for good slip resistance.

Space-Saver Crossover Stairs


Style 1	Style 2

Style 3	Style 3 - Forward Descent

Set at a steeper angle than our other crossover stairs, these stairs require less floor space. They let you walk over conveyors, machines, and pipes. However, the steeper incline makes it more difficult to ascend and descend the stairs.

Powder-Coated Steel—Made of steel, these stairs withstand heavy use in most industrial applications. A powder coating adds protection from corrosion.

Serrated Step—Serrated treads prevent slipping and allow liquids and dirt to pass through.

Diamond-Tread Step—Diamond treads also prevent slipping. However, they do not let liquids and dirt pass through.

Style 2—Style 2 have vertical ladders on both sides, so you can fit wide equipment underneath. The top of each rung is textured for traction. However, the ladders may be challenging to use while carrying materials.

Style 3—Style 3 have offset steps that let you descend comfortably and safely while facing forward.

Aluminum—Aluminum is a good choice for damp areas and outdoor use.

Serrated Step—Serrated steps offer excellent slip resistance and an open-grid design that allows dirt and liquids to fall through.

Diamond-Tread Step—Diamond tread steps also provide slip resistance but do not allow anything to fall through.

Foldaway Stairs

Extend these stairs out to reach a storage or work area, then fold them flat against the wall when you’re done. The handrail locks onto the stairs to keep them from folding while you climb. Made of steel, they’re durable enough to withstand heavy use. Their powder coating helps prevent rust. Serrated steps prevent slipping and allow liquids and dirt to pass through. All include a mounting bracket that you can weld or bolt to your surface.
