    Drill Bits for Sheet Metal

Short flutes make shallow cuts through sheet metal and thin-wall tubing without snagging and deforming the material.

    Standard

Our shortest and most rigid bits are also the hardest and most wear resistant. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the straightest holes in hard and difficult-to-machine materials. Used in manufacturing and CNC drilling, they last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so these bits require a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage and should not be used in hand drilling applications.
Uncoated—Excellent for a range of metals, they perform best when used on steel, aluminum, brass, and bronze.
Straight Flute—Withstand heavy pressure without slipping when drilling hardened steel and other tough materials.
Round Shank—The most common shank type fits in a drill press chuck.
Standard Point—Good for general purpose drilling. You’ll need to make a pilot hole to center the bit.

    Drill Bits for Wood

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drill Bits. Drill Bits for Wood.
Make rough holes for running wire and pipe through framing studs and sheets. These bits have two sharp edges for faster cuts than fluted bits and won't cause the surface of the material to splinter. A centering point keeps them stable while drilling soft and hard woods such as pine, plywood, and oak. Also known as spade bits.
Hex Shank—Less likely to slip than a round shank. Secure in the chuck of drill presses and portable drills.
Quick-Change Hex Shank—Simplify jobs by switching bits instead of tools. These snap directly into power screwdrivers, drills, and other tools that accept a 1/4" hex shank.

    Adjustable-Blade Drill Bits for Wood

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drill Bits. Adjustable-Blade Drill Bits for Wood .
Bore a variety of hole sizes with one bit—just slide the blade to the desired diameter and then tighten the screw. These have two sharp edges for faster cuts than fluted bits and won't cause the surface of the material to splinter. A centering point keeps them stable while drilling soft and hard woods such as pine, plywood, and oak. Like standard flat-blade bits, these drill rough holes for wire and pipe but should be used in a drill press rather than a hand-held tool. Also known as spade bits.
