Rectangular Push Nuts

Also known as flat-style speed nuts, these rectangular push nuts have large sides, so they're easy to push over threads by hand.

Stainless Steel Snap-In Nuts

For excellent corrosion resistance in most environments, these nuts are made of 18-8 stainless steel. Snap them into square holes in thin material, and the mounting legs expand to lock them in place. Also known as cage nuts, the threads float inside the cage, so you can fasten a bolt at a slight angle to align off-center parts. These nuts are often used to mount servers and other equipment in electronics racks. They may be mildly magnetic.

Install these nuts by hand, with pliers, or with a snap-in nut installation and removal tool.

Stainless Steel Slip-On Twist-Close Split Nuts

These nuts have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. Attach them at any point on a threaded rod for quick installation. Swivel the nut open and position it on the threaded rod, then twist closed to secure.

Push-On External Retaining Rings

Style A

No groove needed—these rings grip the shaft on their own. They won't handle as much force as rings in grooves, however, so only use them with light loads. For one-time use only. Push onto the end of the shaft, or use a push nut installation tool. Use on unhardened shafts softer than the ring.

Style A—Our go-to push-on rings. The outer ring is curved and the teeth are individually stamped, which gives the rings higher holding power than other push-on rings. Commonly used in drills and steering wheels.

15-7 PH Stainless Steel—Combine strength with corrosion resistance. While harder than most stainless steel rings, these will dent and scratch easier than carbon steel ones.
