To prevent static buildup, these adjustable-height stools have a brass drag chain to ground electrical charges. They are often used in electronics assembly to help protect sensitive equipment from damage. A backrest provides support and promotes good posture to reduce back strain. Use the lever under the seat to adjust the height; the air cylinder controls the movement for a quick, smooth adjustment. Choose a seat height range with heights slightly lower and higher than your ideal setting. Stools up to 23" high fit most comfortably when used with standard 30" high work surfaces, such as tables and desks. Stools that are 24"-27" high are sized for use at standing-height work surfaces that are 36" high, such as workbenches. Stools 28" and higher are meant to be used at extra-high counters that are approximately 40" high.

Polyurethane stools resist stains, grease, water, and chemicals better than fabric and vinyl stools. Fabric and vinyl stools have padding in the seat and backrest for comfort. Vinyl is easier to clean than fabric.
