    Stacked, corrugated plates maximize contact with liquid or steam flowing through these brazed plate heat exchangers for faster heat transfer than shell and tube heat exchangers. Plates are brazed in a vacuum furnace to ensure 100% sealed construction.
    ASME BPVC.VIII.1 Certified Heat Exchangers—ASME BPVC VIII.1 copper-brazed heat exchangers have a Btu/hr. cooling capacity based on cooling 100 SSU oil to 125° F using 85° F water. They meet the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) for construction of pressure vessels.
    Nickel-Brazed 316 Stainless Steel Plate—Nickel-brazed heat exchangers have a Btu/hr. cooling capacity based on cooling oil from 140° to 120° F using 70° F water.
    Copper-Brazed 316 Stainless Steel Plate—Copper-brazed heat exchangers have a Btu/hr. cooling capacity based on cooling water from 120° to 100° F using 70° F water.

    Heat Exchangers for Sampling

    Often used to monitor boiler water quality without shutting down the system, these heat exchangers cool hot liquid samples to safe temperatures for testing. Sample liquid flows through the tubes, and cold water from an external water supply flows around the tubes to cool the liquid in the tubes. Cooled sample water then flows out of the heat exchanger for analysis.

    Cooling Capacity

    Cool the air in your enclosure to protect electronic components from excessive heat. These heat exchangers absorb heat in the enclosure, then use cooler air outside the enclosure to draw the heat away, lowering the temperature inside. Unlike a fan, they seal out outside air, so dust, moisture, and other contaminants can't get in. Because they use ambient air to cool the enclosure, heat exchangers use less energy and are less likely to cause condensation than air conditioners.
    All of these heat exchangers meet American and Canadian safety standards.
    NEMA 12 Enclosure Rating and IP54 Enclosure Rating—Heat exchangers that meet NEMA 12 and IP54 seal out dust, dirt, and splashing water and oil. Made of steel, these enclosures are powder coated, so they won’t rust in damp environments, but they’re not watertight enough to use outdoors.
    NEMA 4 Enclosure Rating and IP56 Enclosure Rating—NEMA 4- and IP56-rated heat exchangers are designed to withstand rain, snow, and washdowns. They’re made of powder-coated steel.
    NEMA 4X Enclosure Rating and IP56 Enclosure Rating—Heat exchangers rated NEMA 4X and IP56 are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion in the harshest environments. They stand up to weather, washdowns, and corrosive chemicals.
    CE Marked—CE marked heat exchangers also meet European safety standards.

    Low-Temperature Liquid Chillers

    Chill coolant down to 0° F—the lowest temperature liquid chillers we offer. They're often used when you want to maintain temperatures below freezing, such as in food processing and for sensitive electronic components. They take your fluid down to a constant uniform temperature and pump that liquid into your cooling system. Monitor the temperature and pressure of the coolant on the LCD display and change the settings using the keypad. They have a window to quickly check the fluid level. This window also acts as a spot to drain or fill the chiller.

    Liquid Chillers

    Circulate water or glycol solutions to prevent spot-welding systems, molds, lasers, and other temperature-sensitive equipment from overheating. These chillers provide constant, uniform temperatures. An internal tank ensures liquid flows in a continuous loop. Adjust the set temperature with the keypad.
    Bypass Valve—Chillers with a bypass valve recirculate liquid in the chiller if the outlet is obstructed.
    Cooling Capacity—Cooling capacity is based on a 65° F liquid temperature and a 95° F room temperature.
