    Extreme-Strength Highly Fatigue-Resistant 4330 Alloy Steel Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Steel. Extreme-Strength Highly Fatigue-Resistant 4330 Alloy Steel Rods.
Made of a chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy and strengthened with vanadium, this steel is the strongest alloy we offer. A vacuum arc remelting (VAR) process gives 4330 alloy steel excellent strength, hardness, and fatigue resistance. It also resists cracking from impact or compression. In addition to the VAR, this steel's been normalized—a form of heat treatment that helps yield consistent results if you want to machine or heat treat it further. More heat treatment will make the surface harder and more wear resistant. These rods are often used for gears, axles, and shafts.

    Easy-Harden Wear-Resistant A355 Alloy Steel Rods

Image of Product. Front orientation. Steel. Easy-Harden Wear-Resistant A355 Alloy Steel Rods.
Also known as Nitriding 135, this steel can be hardened at lower temperatures than other heat-treatable alloys. Heat treating gives it a wear-resistant surface without making the interior brittle. It’s often used for gears, axles, and shafts.
