Strainers catch debris in your pipeline, preventing damage to valves, pumps, nozzles, and other sensitive equipment. They are designed for medium-pressure applications. Strainers have a threaded drain with a plug that provides access to the screen without disconnecting your line. They have good corrosion resistance.
Strainers with socket-connect tube connections are for use with copper tubing; to connect, insert tubing into the socket and weld to create a permanent, leak-tight connection. Copper tube size is the accepted designation of the copper tubing industry, not the actual OD.

PVC construction is lightweight and provides excellent corrosion resistance. Install them prior to valves, pumps, and nozzles to catch debris in your pipeline and protect sensitive equipment. Strainers have a threaded drain with a hex cap or plug that provides access to the screen without disconnecting your line.
Clear strainers allow you to monitor debris collecting in the screen.
Strainers with socket-connect pipe connections attach to unthreaded pipe with cement for a permanent, leak-tight connection.
Strainers with two union end connections come with two socket-connect pipe connections and two threaded pipe connections; union end connections allow for easy access to your pipeline.

Also known as foot valves, these strainers stop particles from entering your line while preventing backward flow. They are commonly used with reservoirs and tanks.
Strainers with bronze or PVC connection have better corrosion resistance than strainers with an iron connection; bronze strainers are often used in water-delivery applications.
Strainers with two union end connections allow for easy access to your line; they come with either two threaded pipe connections or one socket-connect pipe connection and one threaded pipe connection.

Easy-to-Clean Plastic Filter Housings with Cartridge for Water
There’s no need to stop your water supply and disassemble these filters for cleaning. Turn the handle to flush debris from the included cartridge and purge dirty water through the drain at the bottom; the drain is threaded for connecting to pipe or hose. Solder-Connect On/Off Valves with Gauge Port and Strainer

Monitor and maintain flow quality from a single valve. These valves have gauge ports, a strainer, and a drain built in. Gauge ports let you take pressure, temperature, and other measurements in your line. A strainer traps debris to keep it out of your system, and a drain lets you release fluid and debris. These valves are full port, so they do not restrict flow.
Thanks to their solder-connect union fitting, these valves are especially useful in lines that require frequent maintenance and cleaning. Slide the union nut on the tube and solder the solder-connect fittings to your line for a permanent, leak-tight connection. You can then connect and disconnect the line with a turn of the union fitting.
Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.
