Surface-Preparation Cleaners for Concrete Floors

Etching Cleaner—Etching cleaners prepare unfinished concrete for coating and patching. Often used in warehouses, light manufacturing facilities, and machine shops, they leave a rough, etched finish for strong coating adhesion. Pour these cleaners onto your floor and scrub with a stiff-bristle brush or broom.

Non-Etching Cleaner—Non-etching cleaners are primarily used to clean finished concrete. They leave a smooth finish that’s ready for applying a protective coating if desired. They do not leave any etched markings, which can weaken concrete surfaces. Dilute these cleaners with water. Apply them to your floors with a mop or automatic scrubber.
