    Switch Contact Blocks

Image of Product. Front orientation. Switch Contact Blocks.
Make or break an electrical circuit. These contact blocks mount to manual switches and transmit an electrical signal when the switch actuator is engaged. You can stack multiple blocks, so a single switch can control several circuits. This is helpful in setups that require multiple systems to turn on or off at the same time. For example, the switch on a conveyor line could turn off the conveyor and turn on a diverter and alarm.

    Plastic Enclosed Lever Switches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Lever Switches. Plastic Enclosed Lever Switches.
The enclosure not only protects these switches, but also adds options for how you install them. Secure them to a wall or use the knockout to attach a cord grip and cord, so you can move them around your workstation. Made of polycarbonate plastic, the enclosure resists denting, chipping, and cracking. It’s also NEMA rated to withstand corrosion, washdowns, and spraying oil or coolant. Since you have to twist the lever to actuate these switches, they won’t accidentally flip if someone bumps into them. Choose switches based on their actuator color for an easy way to tell them apart.

    Plastic Enclosed Push-Button Switches

A protective plastic enclosure resists dents, chips, and cracks, so you can install these switches outside of panels. Mount them on a wall, for example, or tether them to a cord at your workstation. They actuate with a push for quick stops and starts. All are NEMA and IP rated to protect against corrosion, washdowns, and oil/coolant spraying. All have knockouts or integrated conduit connections to make it easy to attach conduit or add cord grips.

Flush Push Button—Flush buttons are easy to clean and difficult to damage because they mount flat.
Mushroom Push Button—Mushroom buttons stick out and are often used to stop equipment because they are easy to push.
NEMA 3S Enclosure Rating—Switches rated NEMA 3S will also work in cold temperatures and when covered in ice.

    Joystick Switches

Intuitively steer and position cranes, robot arms, and other machinery that moves in multiple directions—your equipment will follow the movements you make with these joysticks. They control multiple circuits as you move them in different directions and patterns. Assemble a complete switch with an actuator and at least one contact block (sold separately).
    Actuators

Image of Product. Front orientation. Joystick Switches. Lockable.

    Lockable

All actuators include a mounting clip that can fit up to two contact blocks. They’re NEMA and IP rated for protection from dust, washdowns, and oil/coolant spraying.
2 Positions—Two-position actuators require one to four contact blocks.
4 Positions—Four-position actuators require two to four contact blocks. They are off in the center position.
Lockable—Lockable actuators have a head that secures in place, so they won’t start if you bump them on accident.
Momentary Switch—Momentary actuators can only be locked in the off position.
Maintained Switch—Maintained actuators can be locked in any position.
Chrome-Plated Steel—Chrome-plated steel actuators resist wear better than rubber actuators.

The built-in contact block in these switches extends behind the panel half the depth of most other 22 mm switches, saving valuable space.
Push button is rated NEMA 13 for protection against dust, corrosion, and oil/coolant spraying. The clamp ring at the base of the button is rated NEMA 4 or 4X for protection against dirt and washdowns.

Also known as interlock switches, these ensure the safety of personnel by automatically shutting off power to machinery when an access door opens. Mount the switch to the door frame and mount a key to the door so that the key is inserted into the switch when the door is closed. When the door opens, the key is removed from the switch and the machine shuts down. They’re often used with machine guards for large robots.
Styles C and D—Style A-G switches have positive-force, normally closed contacts that will open a circuit when the switch is actuated even if a spring fails or the contacts stick.
IP67 Enclosure Rating—IP67 rated switches protect against temporary submersion.
Key Included—All switches require an actuator key, but not all include one—check whether you need to pick out a separate actuator key. For some switch styles, you can also select the mounting orientation of the key.

Made of yellow polycarbonate plastic, these enclosed switches are easy to see and resist dents, chips, and cracks. They are more corrosion resistant than aluminum enclosed switches and withstand washdowns and oil/coolant spraying. Mount them to a wall or attach a cord grip to position them at your workstation. They have positive force contacts that will open a circuit when actuated, even if a spring fails or the contacts stick. A single push will immediately cut power.
The switches can be reset by manually pulling, turning or unlocking them by key.
Key Reset—Key reset switches are keyed alike, so if you buy multiple switches they will all reset with the same key.
With Guard—Switches with a guard prevent accidental actuation. To stop the switches from being reset or turned on during machine repairs, lock the guard with a padlock.
Power Indicator—Switches with a power indicator alert you from the front and sides when the switch has been actuated.

    Wireless Self-Powered 22 mm Panel-Mount Push-Button Switches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Push-Button Switches. Wireless Self-Powered 22 mm Panel-Mount Push-Button Switches.
Mount these switches in panel cutouts where changing a battery or routing wires might be difficult—they power themselves when you push the button. These switches wirelessly send a signal to a receiver (sold separately) up to 330 feet away. Since they operate equipment without requiring wires back to your control panel, they’re often used for retrofit or temporary installations. The switches come in distinct colors to help operators quickly identify them.
Switches include enough contact blocks to control the number of circuits listed.

    Bracket Kits

Halt machinery in an instant with these tablet holders. They equip your tablet with safety switches that meet IEC and EN standards, so you can safely move around your equipment while teaching robots or monitoring production lines and conveyor systems.
The emergency stop switch on the front of the holder illuminates when the switch is enabled. There is also a deadman switch on the back of the holder that controls machinery when you lightly press and hold it in the middle position. If the switch is released or pressed down all the way, it stops the machine.
Pivot the handle to hold a tablet vertically or horizontally, while keeping the switches in a comfortable position for either hand. The adjustable mounting bracket secures a variety of tablet sizes. Connect your tablet to the USB port to charge during use.
Tablet Holder Bracket Kits—Tablet holder bracket kits enlarge the bracket to hold tablets with thick covers and protectors.

    Safety Relays with Diagnostic Capabilities

Control and diagnose issues with safety-critical circuits. These relays have a microprocessor that monitors safety components, such as emergency stops and light curtains, and sends a signal to stop the operation if a failure is detected and restart when the issue is resolved. They also help with diagnostic tasks because of their feedback circuit, which allows basic relays to communicate their status back to the safety relay. These relays have a duplicate set of input and output signals, so they’ll still stop the controlled device if one of the inputs fails.
IP20 rated, they have recessed terminals which prevent fingers and other objects from touching live circuits. These relays have been tested to multiple safety standards and can help achieve PL, SIL, or CAT system ratings. They also meet ISO and IEC standards for machine safety.
Mount them to 35 mm DIN rail (also known as DIN 3 Rail) for fast installation.
