    Glass Syringes

Made to a tighter tolerance than plastic syringes, these glass syringes are better at dispensing small, precise samples with little left over. They’re also durable and resistant to chemicals, so they’re unlikely to wear or warp from your samples, so they'll have a long, reliable life. Their precision makes them great for gas chromatography.
For quick and easy needle connections, choose between luer lock and luer slip syringes.
When precision is a top concern, choose between a threaded connection and a fixed needle. They’re both designed for the needle to sit exactly at the zero graduation mark, which minimizes leftover material in the barrel after dispensing.
    Luer Lock Fitting Connection
Image of Product. Syringe. Front orientation. Syringes. Glass Syringes, Luer Lock Fitting Connection.

    Syringe

Syringes with a luer lock connection secure onto a luer lock needle with a twist. They have a stronger connection than luer slip syringes.
Syringes with PTFE Piston—Syringes with a piston are ideal for use with gases because the piston creates a leak-free, gastight seal against the barrel. They’re also great for liquids that don’t fully mix—the piston’s seal wipes off any deposits from liquids. With no deposits, the plunger won’t get stuck while dispensing. The piston’s seal is also tight enough that the plunger won’t retract on its own, so you can dispense from these syringes in a slow, controlled manner.
Autoclavable—Autoclavable syringes must be disassembled before autoclaving. Keep in mind that repeated autoclaving can reduce their lifespan, so chemical sterilization is preferred.

    Luer Slip Fitting Connection
Image of Product. Front orientation. Syringes. Glass Syringes, Luer Slip Fitting Connection.
Syringes without a piston resist wear and are nearly frictionless to operate.
Syringes with a luer slip connection use friction to hold a luer lock needle in place. Since they don’t have a locking mechanism like luer lock syringes, their connection isn’t as strong.

    Threaded Fitting Connection

Syringes with a threaded connection are about the same in terms of connection strength as a syringe with a luer lock connection and have a stronger connection than luer slip syringes.

    Fixed 304 Stainless Steel Needle

Syringes without a piston resist wear and are nearly frictionless to operate.
Fixed syringes come ready to use with a needle permanently attached. They’re often used with syringe pumps. However, once the needle bends, breaks, or clogs, the entire syringe has to be replaced. They also aren’t autoclavable.

    Gas Sampling Glass Syringes

Image of Product. Front orientation. Syringes. Gas Sampling Glass Syringes.
Collect, transport, and store gas and liquid samples without worrying about evaporation or leaks. These syringes have a locking valve that keeps your sample secure. They also have a piston that creates a leak-free, gastight seal against the barrel.
With a glass barrel, these syringes have a long lifespan and aren’t likely to wear or warp from your samples. They have a tighter tolerance than syringes with plastic barrels, so they’re better at controlling small, precise flows. They’ll dispense all material inside with nothing left over—the needle sits exactly at the zero graduation mark, and the piston’s seal against the barrel wipes off any deposits from liquids. With no deposits, the plunger won’t get stuck while dispensing. The piston’s seal is also tight enough that the plunger won’t retract on its own, so you can dispense from these syringes in a slow, controlled manner. Thanks to their precision, these syringes are often used for gas chromatography.
To attach the needle, slide it in at the base of these syringes and secure it with its locking nut. Made of stainless steel, the needle has a smooth surface that limits friction. It’s also sharp and beveled so it can be inserted without clogging or leaving a hole. This makes it ideal for puncturing septa lids.

    Fixed-Volume Pipettors

Image of Product. Top orientation. Pipettors. Fixed-Volume Pipettors.
Good for speedy, routine dispensing jobs, these pipettors use air displacement to dispense the same volume every time. They’re more comfortable to hold than standard pipettes—a finger rest anchors to your hand so they’re easier to use one-handed. Press the ejection button to release used dispenser tips without touching them or changing your grip. Use these pipettors with universal-fit pipette tips. For easy identification, they’re color-coded by capacity.
