T-Slotted Framing Rails
Use this versatile framing to configure machine guards, enclosures, carts, and workstations. These rails have continuous T-slots for attaching fittings. When choosing how many slots you want on your rail, consider how much flexibility you need for your setup and how finished you'd like your structure to appear. The more slots the rail has, the more design flexibility you will have. Keep in mind, open slots can collect dust and debris. Rails with closed sides give you a finished appearance but are more difficult to reconfigure or add components to later. All of these rails are made of aluminum.
Double-, triple-, and quad-profile rails are good for large structural applications, such as beams and posts. Typically, the larger the rail profile, the stronger the rail.
Hollow rails are lighter and more economical than solid rails.
Smooth rails give a finished look. With no indentations to collect dust, they’re easier to clean than grooved rails. However, dents and marks are easier to see.
Black rails fade into the background and hide dirt and grime. They're good for vision systems where non-reflective material is needed. Cut-to-length rails can be ordered in increments of 0.125” or 0.25 cm.

T-Slotted Framing Fasteners
Screw and nut sets or nuts secure brackets and other accessories to rails.
End-feed fasteners slide into the end of the rail to attach components. They form stronger connections than drop-in fasteners because more surface area touches the rail.
Drop-in fasteners fit directly into the T-slot to attach components—no need to disassemble your existing structure. However, they form less secure connections than end-feed fasteners because less surface area touches the rail.
Self-aligning nuts have a ridge that keeps them centered in the T-slot.
Use double and triple nuts to install brackets with multiple holes. They eliminate the need for a single nut and screw for each hole.
Offset nuts have a mounting hole close to one end, so you can install them next to corners and rail ends.

Button head screws are more compact, so they're better for tight spaces than other screws for T-slotted framing.
Flanged button head screws have a wider head than standard button head fasteners, so you don’t need a washer for wide mounting holes.
Self-aligning nuts have a ridge that keeps them centered in the T-slot.

Socket head screws have a deeper drive than other head styles, so they withstand more torque for a tighter hold.
Hammer nuts drop in to the slot and turn into place when the screw is tightened.
Nuts with a stud can be tightened in place with a socket wrench. When the line on the end of the stud is perpendicular to the rail, the nut is properly in place.

Surface brackets create strong connection points because they secure to the surface of rails.
Straight brackets are simple brackets that can be used to make 90°, end-to-end, and parallel connections.
Countersunk straight brackets have a more finished appearance than brackets with straight mounting holes because their fasteners sit flush with the brackets. The screw heads won’t get in the way of your other components.
Extended brackets have more connection points for stronger connections than standard-length brackets.
Flush tee and flush 90° angle brackets create a finished appearance. However, they are not as strong as standard tee or 90° angle brackets.

Concealed brackets mount internally and stay out of sight once installed.
Plate connector concealed brackets create a structural bracket connection point on the end of one rail that can attach at a 90° angle along another rail. They have a screw on one side and a T-slot nut on the other. Tap a hole in the end of one rail and thread in the screw. Then slide the T-slot nut into the slot of the other rail.

Butt and extended butt connectors join rails end-to-end to extend the length of rails without machining. Slide the connectors into a T-slot and tighten the screws to install.

T-Slotted Framing Slides, Tracks, and Rollers
Slide drawers, panels, and doors with these tracks and rollers.
Rail slides allow one rail to slide along another. Made from a single piece of plastic, they can be cut to size for a variety of applications. Adjust their positioning without fasteners. While simple to install, they are less secure than heavy duty rail slides.
Rail slides with a T-shaped side install on either the top or bottom rail. They slide into the end of the slot and won’t fall out, so you can use them to hang something.
Rail slides with a T-reducer allow you to transition between differently sized rails.
Pivoting rail slides can rotate rails 360° even while sliding along the other T-slotted rail. They are often used to make an accordion or bifold door.
Rail slides with a straight side drop into T-slotted rail to guide the sliding rail. They don’t require access to the end of the rail to install, but they can’t be used to hang something on their own because they will fall out of the slot.
