    Finish-Your-Own-Bore Two-Piece Shaft Collars

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shaft Collars. Finish-Your-Own-Bore Two-Piece Shaft Collars.
Machine the bore on these two-piece collars to the exact size you need. They fit snugly on shafts that are worn thin, oversized from coatings, or uncommonly sized. Attach them anywhere along the shaft when other components are already installed or you can't access the ends. The collars clamp evenly without marring the shaft, so you can reposition or remove them later.
Black-Oxide Carbon Steel—Dark and matted for a finished look, but with minimal corrosion resistance. Best for dry environments.
Carbon Steel—Strong and easy to machine. Use in dry environments, since moisture will cause steel to rust.
303 Stainless Steel—Withstand moisture and mild cleaning solutions, such as acetone and ammonia. These are easier to machine than other stainless steel collars.
Aluminum—One-third the weight of steel and corrosion resistant.

    Machinable Shaft Ends

One side is unfinished for milling custom pulleys, threaded hubs, sprockets, collars, knobs, sensor targets, or just about anything imaginable; the other side is a one-piece clamping coupling for mounting whatever you’ve created to your shaft. Slide these ends onto your shaft and tighten the clamping screws for a secure hold that won’t damage your shaft.

1215 Carbon Steel—Carbon steel ends are easier to machine than stainless steel. They have a black-oxide finish that adds a layer of rust resistance but should be used in primarily dry environments.
303 Stainless Steel—Stainless steel ends provide the most corrosion resistance but are more difficult to machine than steel.
For Keyed Shafts—Ends for keyed shafts have keyways that firmly grip the shaft’s key to eliminate slipping. They handle higher torque than ends for round shafts.

Reduce the diameter of your shaft while adding length. One side of the adapter is a two-piece coupling that clamps onto your existing shaft; a smaller shaft extends from the other side. Tighten the clamping screws for a firm, even grip that won’t damage shafts.
Black-Oxide Steel—Black-oxide steel adapters have a finish that adds a layer of rust resistance but should be used in primarily dry environments. Because they’re steel, they balance high strength and good machinability, making them ideal for general purpose use.
303 Stainless Steel—303 stainless steel adapters resist corrosion in damp environments. They are easier to machine than other types of stainless steel but more difficult to machine than steel.

Adapt your shaft to a threaded end without having to machine threads onto your shaft. These adapters have a threaded end that mounts into tapped holes or can be used for threaded accessories, such as mixer propellers or fan blades. To attach these adapters to your existing shaft, tighten the clamping screws for a firm, even grip that won’t damage shafts. Made of steel, these adapters balance high strength and good machinability, making them ideal for general purpose use. They have a black-oxide finish that resists rust but should be used in primarily dry environments.
