On/Off Temperature Controllers for Plug-in Heaters

Switch heaters on or off when your process reaches a certain temperature. Both these controllers and your heater will be powered by the same wall outlet. Place the probe into your process, plug the controller into an outlet, and plug your heater into the socket on the back of the controller’s plug. These simple temperature controllers deliver either full power or no power. They’re best used in systems where temperatures change slowly and you don’t need precise control.
IP20 and NEMA 1 rated controllers are best for indoor use. They keep dirt out and will stop objects about the size of a finger from coming into contact with a live circuit.
IP66 and NEMA 4X rated controllers seal out dirt, corrosive liquids, and water from high-pressure washdowns.

Adjustable-Power Temperature Controllers for Plug-In Heaters

Regulate the amount of power flowing to your heater with the turn of a dial. Instead of a temperature sensor or input, these controllers work like a dimmer on a light switch. To incorporate them, first plug in the temperature controller, then plug your heater into the socket on the bottom of the controller. These controllers are NEMA rated for use in hazardous, corrosive, dusty, and washdown environments.

Temperature-Controlled Outlet Splitters

Automatically power heating and cooling devices on and off when temperatures rise or drop. With two outlets each, you can run multiple devices. Plug them into a standard wall outlet.
Heating outlet splitters turn the power on when your space drops below a set temperature. They cut the power once temperatures warm up. Splitters that turn on at 20° F are often used to switch on engine and battery heaters when working in cold temperatures. Splitters that turn on at 35° F work best with heaters to warm a space and prevent freezing.
Cooling outlet splitters turn the power on when your space rises above a set temperature. They’re often used to turn on fans or other devices for cooling, ventilation, and air circulation. These outlet splitters cut the power once temperatures cool off.
