    Fixed-Setpoint Threaded Temperature Switches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Temperature Switches. Fixed-Setpoint Threaded Temperature Switches.
Set to actuate at a specific temperature, these switches are easy to setup and prevent changes to the setpoint. They have a threaded probe, so they install directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components to turn equipment on and off at a set temperature. All switches are NEMA 4 and 13 rated to seal out dirt, oil, and water from washdowns.
Narrow Differential Range Sensitivity—Narrow differential switches reset after a small temperature change in the opposite direction of your switch's actuation. For example, in a rising-actuation switch, they reset after the temperature falls 3° below the setpoint. Use them in systems where temperature changes slowly and where you need precision.
Wide Differential Range Sensitivity—Wide differential switches reset after the temperature significantly decreases (approximately 15%) below the setpoint. Use them in systems that cannot handle frequent power cycling.
Rising Actuation—Rising actuation switches activate when the temperature rises to the setpoint and then reset when the temperature falls below the setpoint. Choose rising actuation SPST-NO switches to power a cooler or trigger an alarm. Choose rising actuation SPST-NC switches to turn off a heater or other equipment when the temperature rises to the setpoint.
Falling Actuation—Falling actuation switches activate when the temperature falls to the setpoint and then reset when the temperature rises above the setpoint. Choose falling actuation SPST-NO switches to power a heater or activate an alarm. Choose falling actuation SPST-NC switches to turn off a cooler or other equipment when the temperature falls to the setpoint.
IP67 Enclosure Rating—IP67 rated switches stand up to temporary submersion.
UL Recognized Component—UL and C-UL listed switches meet U.S. and Canadian safety standards.

Since these switches don’t have a housing above the probe, they are often used in tight spaces and low-clearance areas. The threaded probe installs directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components to turn heating equipment on or off at a specified temperature. Use the adjustment screw to set the actuation point. All switches are SPST (single pole, single throw) and control one circuit.

Turn heating equipment on or off in washdown environments. To withstand splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust, these switches have a housing that meets NEMA 4X. The threaded probe installs directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components. Use the adjustment dial to set actuation points.
1 Actuation Point—Switches with one actuation point have one SPDT (single pole, double throw) relay. The relay can be set to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).
2 Actuation Points—Switches with two actuation points have two SPDT (single pole, double throw) relays. Each relay can be set to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).

    Adjustment Rings

An adjustable reset lets you control the amount of temperature change, also known as deadband and differential, before these switches reset. Twist the rings to select the setpoint temperature and reset temperature anywhere within the setpoint range. When they reach the set temperature, they send an electronic signal to your programmable logic controller (PLC) to turn equipment on or off. Because they control two circuits, they turn one device from off to on (normally open) and another from on to off (normally closed). An LED illuminates to indicate they’re switching. These switches are often used in control and automation in hydraulics, pneumatics, air-conditioning, and refrigeration applications. Made of stainless steel, they resist corrosion and chemicals.
Install these switches directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components using their threaded probe. They have a micro M12 plug connection and are compatible with micro M12 sockets, so you can quickly connect and disconnect them. After selecting your setpoint, tighten the locking ring to prevent unintentional changes.
IP rated, these switches seal out dust and water from temporary submersion. They also meet U.S., Canadian, and European safety standards.

A digital display makes it easy to monitor the temperature and control when these switches turn heating equipment on and off. They have an adjustable reset, so you can change the temperature range between when they activate and deactivate, commonly referred to as deadband and differential. Use the keypad to adjust the setpoint and reset point anywhere on the setpoint range. They produce an electronic signal that is often used to communicate with a programmable logic controller (PLC), so they're common in control and automation applications. Install them directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components using their threaded probe.
These switches have a micro M12 plug, so you can quickly connect and disconnect them.
Rated IP65 and IP67, these switches protect against dust and water from washdowns and temporary submersion. They’re also UL listed, C-UL listed, and CE marked, so they meet U.S., Canadian, and European safety standards.

Often used in hazardous locations, such as chemical plants, refineries, and grain elevators, these switches have a housing that’s UL listed for environments with flammable gases, combustible dust, and ignitable fibers. It is UL listed for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. The housing also meets NEMA 4X for use in washdown environments with splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust. Install the threaded probe directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components to turn heating equipment on or off at a specified temperature. Set actuation points with the adjustment dial.

To protect these switches from splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust, the housing meets NEMA 4X for washdown conditions. Switches turn heating equipment on or off at a specified temperature. All have a probe on a cable for remote temperature readings. Set actuation points with the adjustment dial.
SPDT—SPDT (Single pole, double throw) switches can be set to turn circuits from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed). Switches with one actuation point have one SPDT (single pole, double throw) relay. The relay can be set to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed). The probe has 1/2 NPT male threads for installation directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components. It comes with a bushing that adapts the thread size to 3/4 NPT male. Switches with two actuation points have two SPDT (single pole, double throw) relays. Each relay can be set to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).

Send signals to trigger two different processes, each with their own set temperatures. For example, use one setpoint to turn a heater on and off at one temperature and another to activate an alarm if the temperature rises too far above the cutoff point. Twist the outer ring to adjust your setpoints—no need for tools. After choosing your setpoint, tighten the locking ring to prevent unintentional changes. Once the setpoint is reached, an LED illuminates, indicating the switching status. The threaded probe installs directly into tanks, pipelines, and other process components.
These switches send an electronic PNP signal to your programmable logic controller (PLC), so they’re often used in control and automation applications. They have a micro M12 plug connection and are compatible with micro M12 sockets, allowing you to quickly connect and disconnect the switch.
They are rated IP67 for protection from dust and temporary submersion.
