The stainless steel also shields the sensor from impact, so you can use them with solids, such as in molds and dies. Because there is no insulation to protect the internal wires, you should not bend these probes. They’re also known as tube-and-wire thermocouples.

To view and store measurements, add a connector to the wire leads and connect these probes to a controller, thermometer, or other temperature-reading device. You can also attach thermocouple wire to the wire leads if you need to extend the probe’s reach.
