    High-Temperature Thread Sealants

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thread Sealants. High-Temperature Thread Sealants.
These sealants have high locking strength, so they work in demanding applications, such as securing mounting studs in motor housings. They also withstand applications with large temperature swings.
Heat Cure Sealants—Heat cure sealant requires heat of at least 212° F to harden. Above 300° F, the sealant hardens in about 15 minutes. For temperatures below 300° F, it may take up to 4 hours to harden. It requires both heat and a hand tool to unthread.
1,500° F Maximum Temperature—1500° F max. temp. sealants are for use on cement-lined pipe joints prior to welding. The heat from the welding torch helps them begin to harden.
Cannot Be Sold To—Sealants that cannot be sold to the listed regions are restricted due to local VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations.

Often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail, these never fully harden and remain pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start. Formulated without PTFE, these sealants are less slippery and less likely to result in overtightenting than sealants that have PTFE, making them good for plastic pipe where overtightening could lead to cracks and breaks. They have low locking strength, so they can be adjusted without tools.

    Thread Sealants

    Tube

These thread sealants are anaerobic, so they don’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air.
Medium Locking Strength—Sealants with medium locking strength prevent threads from loosening due to vibration and shock. They require a hand tool to unthread.
NSF/ANSI 61—To adhere to safety standards for drinking water systems, use sealants that meet NSF/ANSI 61.

Thread Sealants for Hydraulic and Compressed Air Systems

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thread Sealants. Thread Sealants for Hydraulic and Compressed Air Systems, Tube.

    Tube

Formulated for high lubricity, these sealants allow easy assembly of finely threaded hydraulic and compressed air system components. They're also free of fillers that could contaminate system media. These sealants are anaerobic, so they don’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air.
Medium Locking Strength—These sealants have medium locking strength, which prevents threads from loosening due to vibration and shock. They require a hand tool to unthread.
