Tee-Nut Threaded Inserts for Fiberglass

Reduce the risk of splitting or cracking fiberglass. These inserts have three short, thin prongs that won't dig too deep or wedge between layers of the material. Hammer them into a drilled hole and the wide flange distributes the load over a large area.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A step up from plain steel, the plating withstands occasional exposure to moisture.

Split-Preventing Tee-Nut Threaded Inserts for Hardwood

Pronged Secured |
Prongs or barbs create a secure fit that won't split hardwood. To install these inserts, hammer them into a drilled hole. The installed length includes the flange.
Pronged Secured—With just three short prongs, these inserts are less likely to damage dense wood than other tee nut inserts.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these inserts to rust.
Black-Oxide Steel—These inserts are often chosen for the dark, matte appearance. They're best for dry environments since they can rust when exposed to moisture.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A step up from plain steel, the plating withstands occasional exposure to moisture.
18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these inserts resist rust and mild chemicals.
