Opening-and-Closing Torque Gauges for Caps and Knobs

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Torque Gauges. Opening-and-Closing Torque Gauges for Caps and Knobs.
Measure the twisting force needed to tighten or loosen caps and knobs with these torque gauges. Four adjustable gripping posts clamp round and irregularly-shaped containers. Twist the top by hand to measure force or use it to calibrate your capping machine, so it applies the right amount of force in a production line. For the most accurate performance, the maximum torque you’re applying should fall near the middle of the gauge's torque range. If you accidentally exceed the torque range, these gauges have overload protection to prevent damage to the measuring system.
View torque measurements, change operating modes, and switch units of measurement on the LCD screen. Store data on the microSD card, transfer it to your devices via Bluetooth or USB, or print using the DB9 cable. The I/O cable connects to controllers to operate other devices dependent on torque force readings.
Torque Gauges with Calibration Certificate Traceable to NIST—Gauges with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST meet standards for accuracy.

    Rotary Torque Gauges

Monitor torque as you apply it—these gauges mount between your torque tool and your fastener. Engage the fastener to track both torque and the angle of rotation for each crank of your tool (snug torque) before you've reached the final torque. This gives you a better idea if fasteners are consistently tightened than measuring torque alone. These gauges are often used with nutrunners and click-style torque wrenches in the automotive and aerospace industries. Store up to 999 maximum torque (peak) and rotation values, including the date and time of each test, or transfer to your computer to view in an Excel file. CE marked, they meet European safety standards.
For the most accurate readings, the maximum torque you're applying should fall near the middle of the gauge's torque range. They are not for use with impact tools.
Bluetooth Connection—Gauges with a Bluetooth connection wirelessly transmit data to a computer as you measure. You can also remotely set snug torque, or when these gauges starting measuring the torque applied with each rotation. They last up to 8 hours on a single charge with Bluetooth on and 10 hours with it off.

Measure and record manually applied torque. These sensors convert torque into an electrical signal that your computer or programmable logic controller (PLC) can read.
Wireless PC Connection Kits—Sensors with a wireless PC connection kit also have a built-in transmitter that uses Wi-Fi to send signals to a USB receiver plugged into your PC.
