How to Identify and Measure Fittings
Pipe size is an industry designation, not the actual size. View information about how to measure threaded and unthreaded pipe and pipe fittings.

Multiline Quick-Disconnect Tube Couplings for Air

Don’t get your lines crossed—use one of these couplings to quickly connect or disconnect multiple tubes at once. They keep tubes organized and optimize space in tight spots. Often used in robotics, these couplings are ideal for complex pneumatic systems.
Through-wall couplings allow you to connect and disconnect air lines on a panel or machine. This is useful when you are going to transport and reconnect your equipment on site.
Push-to-connect fittings are for firm and hard tubing. Also known as instant fittings. To connect to tubing, insert the tube into the fitting—an internal gripping ring and O-ring hold the fitting in place. To disconnect, push on the release ring and pull the tubing out of the fitting.
Keyed couplings prevent mixing and matching the wrong lines, since they’ll only connect with a plug or socket that is keyed the same.
For a complete coupling, order a plug and a socket with the same coupling size.

- Maximum Pressure: 145 psi @ 72° F
- Temperature Range: 0° to 175° F
- Tubing: Use with firm (Durometer 95A) nylon plastic, polyethylene plastic, polypropylene plastic, or polyurethane rubber
To connect the coupling, thread the plug and socket together. To disconnect, unthread them. Made of plastic, these couplings are lighter in weight than brass couplings.
Attach a cover (sold separately) to your coupling to keep tubing organized and help protect it from snagging.

Standard-Wall Plastic Pipe Fittings for Water

Connect these fittings to Schedule 40 plastic pipe–they are the industry standard for residential and commercial low-pressure plumbing and water supply applications. They are plastic for good corrosion resistance.
Fittings for drinking water meet NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
Fittings that meet ASTM D1784, ASTM D1785, and ASTM D4066 adhere to specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
Note: For fittings that are not rated for pressure, you can use the pressure rating of the plastic pipe as a reference. Threaded fittings are limited to 50% of the rated pressure of the pipe.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.

- For Use With: Drinking Water, Water
- Maximum Temperature: 140° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM D1784, NSF/ANSI 61
- Pipe Nipples and Pipe: Use Schedule 40 PVC Plastic
- Flanges: Use Class 150 PVC Plastic
Fittings with a push-to-connect end don’t require cement or thread sealant to connect, so they are quicker to install than socket-connect and threaded fittings. Insert pipe into the end of the fitting—a metal grip ring holds the pipe in place, creating a strong, permanent connection.
