About Measuring Fittings

Temperature Range: 32° to 200° F

Solder these fittings to copper tubing or the tube end of another fitting for a permanent, leak-tight connection. They are also known as sweat fittings. Fittings have good corrosion resistance. To adhere to safety standards for drinking water systems, use fittings that meet NSF/ANSI 61 or EN 1057.

Copper tube size is the accepted designation of the copper tubing industry, not the actual tube OD.

Flow Stops for Copper Tubing

Use these temporary flow stops to block water from an area that's being soldered. Commonly used on copper tubing, they allow you to make repairs without waiting for your line to drain. To use, shut off the main supply line, insert the flow stop through the tube you want to repair, and turn the handle to tighten the hex nut. The nut compresses the rubber gasket against the inside of the tube to block the flow so you can immediately solder the damaged area.

Crimp these fittings to copper tubing with a crimping tool (sold separately). An O-ring on the inside of the fitting creates a leak-tight connection that doesn’t require heat or soldering. For a permanent, leak-tight connection that doesn’t require heat or soldering, these valves have press-connect fittings that crimp to copper tubing. Install them with a press-connect crimping tool (sold separately). These valves meet NSF/ANSI 61 for use in drinking water systems. All are full port, so they do not restrict flow.

Valves with a lockable handle can be fixed in place using a padlock (not included).

Bronze valves are stronger and more durable than brass valves.
