Tweezers
Grip a variety of objects with these general purpose tweezers.
Tweezers with slim and offset tips allow more visibility of your work than standard tips. Tweezers with bent and curved tips reach over and around obstructions.
Tweezers with pointed tips give you a firm grip, but they can mar components. Tweezers with round tips won’t mar or nick components. However, they don’t hold objects as well as pointed tips. Tweezers with trapezoid tips give you a good grip on large, flat components. Tweezers with square tips work well if you need to grip thin sheets and labels. Tweezers with ball tips hold spherical objects. Tweezers with toothed tips have a good grip in tight spaces because the tips interlock tightly.
400 series stainless steel tweezers have good corrosion resistance and harder, more durable tips than 300 series stainless steel, but aren’t quite as strong as steel. They are mildly magnetic.
Tweezers with PVC-, PTFE-, and nylon-coated tips won’t mar delicate components. Tweezers with PTFE-coated tips prevent material from sticking to tweezers.
Tweezers with a dull appearance won’t cause reflections and glare under a microscope.

Extended-Reach Tweezers

Squeeze-to-Open Tweezers
Hold small parts without the need to apply pressure. Squeeze these tweezers to open the tips and release to close them.
Tweezers with offset tips keep whatever object they’re holding elevated when they’re set down on a surface. This is useful if you need both hands free.
Tweezers with round tips won’t nick or mar your object’s surface, but they don’t grip as tight as pointed tips.Tweezers with square tips work well if you need to grip thin sheets and labels.
Tweezers with hard fiber grip insulate against heat.

Locking Tweezers
Lock the tips closed to use these tweezers like a clamp.
Tweezers with slim tips allow more visibility of your work than standard tips. Tweezers with bent tips reach over and around obstructions.
Tweezers with pointed tips give you a firm grip, but they can mar delicate components. Tweezers with cylindrical and paddle tips are good for soldering. The cylindrical tip has a groove to hold a shank securely and the paddle tip is serrated to prevent movement. Tweezers with square tips grip thin sheets and labels well.

Tweezers with cylindrical tips hold small components, such as wire, capacitors, and screws.
400 series stainless steel tweezers have good corrosion resistance and harder, more durable tips than 300 series stainless steel, but aren’t quite as strong as steel. They are mildly magnetic.
Tweezers with ceramic-coated tips are good for handling components during thermal, chemical, and soldering processes. Coated in zirconia toughened alumina, they have a superior combination of strength and hardness. These tips have good abrasion and wear resistance and extreme corrosion resistance. They conduct heat and remain stable under high temperatures.
