About Plastic and Rubber Tubing
More
Abrasion-Resistant Firm Rubber Tubing for Air and Water
With excellent resistance to abrasion and tearing, this rubber tubing can hold up in rugged environments. It is semi-flexible, so it is good for gradual bends.
Polyurethane tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow through the line. Polyurethane tubing that is for use with air is ester based, so it should not be used with water or in humid environments.
Versilon polyurethane tubing can withstand lower temperatures than standard polyurethane and neoprene tubing. It was formerly known as Tygothane.

Ultra-Chemical-Resistant Soft Plastic Tubing
Made of highly chemical-resistant materials, this tubing withstands harsh chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and sulfuric acid. It’s also flexible, so it bends easily around objects.
Clear Versilon PVC tubing has an FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) liner that makes it more chemical resistant than any of our other soft plastic tubing. The liner also creates a smooth interior for unrestricted flow. This tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow. It was formerly known as Tygon.
Opaque Versilon fluoroelastomer tubing is best for handling severe applications with extreme temperatures, such as in dry-cleaning fluid lines and solvent recovery systems. It can also be used for metering (peristaltic) pump applications. This tubing withstands a wider range of temperatures than clear Versilon PVC tubing. It’s opaque black, so you can’t see what's in the tubing. It also means it’s UV-resistant and protects light-sensitive materials.

Smooth-Flow Soft Plastic Tubing for Food and Beverage
The smooth, nonabsorbing interior on this plastic tubing resists material buildup, so it is easy to clean. Tubing is suitable for food and beverage applications. It doesn’t contain plasticizers like DEHP, so it won’t impart tastes or odors to the fluid passing through it. This tubing is flexible and bends easily around objects.
Versilon tubing is comparable to Tygon tubing.
Semi-clear tubing gives you a limited view inside the line.

Firm Plastic and Rubber Tubing for Drinking Water
Tubing meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for drinking water.
Polyurethane rubber tubing is stronger and more durable than polyethylene plastic tubing– it has a polyester braid reinforcement that allows it to withstand higher pressures, and it also has better abrasion resistance. It is more flexible than polyethylene tubing, so it bends more easily around objects. Tubing is made without plasticizers like DEHP, so it won’t impart tastes or odors to the fluid running through it. It is ether based, so it performs better in humid environments than ester-based polyurethane. Tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow. It is also known as Versilon and formerly was known as Tygothane.
