Submersible Threaded Breather Vents

Use these vents to maintain consistent pressure as temperatures fluctuate by allowing air to flow through sealed enclosures. All have a hydrophobic and oleophobic filter membrane that blocks moisture and contamination from particle buildup.

Nylon—Nylon vents don’t conduct electricity, making them a good choice for most environments.

Polycarbonate—Polycarbonate vents don’t conduct electricity and withstand UV rays better than nylon vents, so they won’t break down as quickly in outdoor applications. All have a mounting nut for a secure connection in threaded as well as through holes.

Nickel-Plated Brass—Nickel-plated brass vents stand up to corrosive environments better than nylon and polycarbonate vents. They’re also durable, which means you won’t have to replace them as often.

Washdown Weather Resistant Breather Vents

These breather vents are rated NEMA 6 to withstand periodic submersion in water. Install them in enclosures to stop the buildup of pressure and vacuum and to prevent debris from entering equipment. Breather vents can be used with enclosures that are rated NEMA 4, 12, and 13 for washdown environments and splashing oil and coolant.

Style A—Style A drains have a gasket that seals out air, water, and dust during high-pressure washdowns or when submerged. They also meet UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance.

Hazardous Location Electrical Enclosure Drain Vents


Glass-Filled Nylon	316 Stainless Steel

Safe for use around hazardous gasses and dust, these drain vents maintain steady pressure and prevent moisture buildup from temperature changes inside enclosures. They allow air to flow through the enclosures while protecting the contents from washdowns, dirt, and weather. Install these drain vents at the lowest point on an enclosure, so moisture can drip out.

Increased Safety—Increased-safety drain vents keep sparks, high temperatures, or current creepage inside an enclosure, so they won’t ignite flammable gasses and dust.

Venting Liquid-Tight Plastic Cord Grips

Prevent condensation from accumulating inside your enclosure by equalizing the pressure between the inside and outside. These cord grips have vents with microscopic pores that let air in but not dust or water. Sealed with an O-ring, they’re also IP rated to keep dust and water from entering through the knockout, even during washdowns. A locknut anchors them in place.

Venting Liquid-Tight Brass Cord Grips

A sturdier alternative to plastic venting cord grips. These cord grips are nickel-plated brass, so they resist rusting. To prevent condensation from accumulating inside your enclosure, they have vents with microscopic pores that let air in but not dust or water.
