Mitutoyo Vernier Height Gauges

Measure height more precisely than standard height gauges. These gauges are often used to mark material before cutting it for machining and toolmaking. They have two vertical scales—a main scale and a sliding vernier scale. The vernier scale splits the graduation marks on the main scale into smaller increments for a more accurate reading. Set your initial height, then fine-tune with the adjustment screw.

Starrett Vernier Height Gauges
These Starrett gauges measure height more precisely than standard height gauges. Use them to mark material before cutting it for machining and toolmaking. They have two vertical scales—a main scale and a sliding vernier scale. The vernier scale splits up the graduation marks on the main scale into smaller increments for a more accurate reading. Set your initial height, then fine-tune with the adjustment screw.
All come with a pointed carbide-tipped scriber and a scriber clamp to hold it in place. The pointed tip makes precise, fine lines, but it wears over time.
