    Class 2 vests meet visibility requirements for workers who are on or near roadways.
    Expandable Vest—Expandable vests have elastic sides or adjustable side snaps that fit up to two sizes larger.
    Breakaway Vest—Vests that are breakaway and expandable have adjustable side straps to expand the sides, as well as hook and loop fasteners at the shoulders, sides, and front to tear away easily if caught on machinery.
    Standard Vest—Standard vests are a traditional, sleeveless style.
    Polyester Fabric—Made of polyester fabric, these vests are lightweight and moisture wicking to keep you cool.
    Mesh—Mesh vests provide better breathability than solid vests.
    ANSI/ISEA 107—ANSI/ISEA 107 rated vests are fluorescent yellow or orange and have 2" wide reflective stripes to meet high-visibility requirements.

    PPE Category 1—Vests that are rated PPE Category 1 provide light protection against arc flashes. Made of mesh acrylic, these vests are self-extinguishing. They are stitched with Nomex thread for added durability. They have hook and loop closures down the front and one waist pocket.
    PPE Category 4—Vests that are rated PPE Category 4 provide the highest level of protection from arc flashes. Rated NFPA 2112, they also protect against flash fires. They’re made of modacrylic/aramid which is more durable and flame resistant than acrylic vests. You’ll stay dry thanks to the water-resistant coating. These vests have a lightweight and breathable cotton liner for added comfort. They have a zipper down the front, one chest pocket, and two waist pockets.
    NFPA 70E—Vests are rated NFPA 70E to protect your torso against flames and arc flash.
    ANSI/ISEA 107—These vests meet ANSI/ISEA 107, so they've passed tests for visibility at high speeds and distances. That means you'll be seen by fast-moving vehicles or from across the shop floor.
    Fluorescent Yellow—These vests are fluorescent yellow with reflective stripes, so you’ll stand out in risky areas with low visibility.
    Arc-Rated PPE Category—Choose a vest that meets the arc rated personal protective equipment (PPE) category required by your workplace.
    Arc Rating—The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Wear these vests over flame-and arc-flash rated long-sleeve shirts or sweatshirts to meet the specified arc rating.
    Chest Size—When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these vests.

    High-Visibility Life Preserver Vests

    These vests are fluorescent yellow with reflective tape panels to make workers stand out in low-visibility conditions. They meet Class 2 ANSI/ISEA 107 standards for high-visibility clothing when working on or near roadways, and they are United States Coast Guard Type III approved for use near calm, inland waters where there is a high chance of immediate rescue. The lining is polyester fabric mesh, making vests lightweight and breathable. They have a zipper down the front and two adjustable buckles to tighten for a snug fit. They also have two pockets with hook and loop closures.

    High-Visibility Cold-Protection Vests

    Nylon Fabric—Good for indoor and outdoor use, they have an outer nylon layer that resists wind and water. The nylon fabric also makes these vests tear resistant and durable. You’ll be able to bend and move your body since the sides have stretch panels.

    Keep cool and be seen—these vests protect you from the heat and help you stand out when visibility is low.
    Style A—Style A vests hold water that slowly evaporates to keep you cool for up to four hours. Soak them in cold water for a few minutes, and polymer crystals in the fabric will absorb large amounts of water. As you move, airflow creates a cool, damp sensation to lower your body temperature. A polyester/nylon shell won’t weigh you down, and a mesh bottom helps with ventilation.
    Style B—Style B vests hold cooling packs that stay at 58° F for up to three hours. You can use these both indoors and outdoors as they don’t require airflow to cool you down. Their polyester exterior helps keep water out while a cotton liner has a thermal layer to keep you cool. They come with an insulated cooler bag to keep packs cold before use. To keep cool for longer, keep replacement cooling packs on hand.
