Use them to mount forging hammers, stamping presses, rock crushers, shearing machines, vibratory feeders, and other heavy machinery. They also create uniform weight-bearing areas between steel and concrete columns, even if there are surface irregularities. Made of Buna-N—also known as NBR, nitrile, and acrylonitrile butadiene—they resist oil and solvents. All meet MIL-C-882, which tests the quality, density, capacity, compression, deflection, and oil- and mold-resistance of materials used in military construction. They’re commonly known as bearing pads.
