Made of Viton® fluoroelastomer, this cord stock resists a variety of chemicals, such as benzene and butyl alcohol. It is often used to seal chemical processing pumps and natural gas compressors. However, it should not be used with strong bases or ketones.

Brown cord stock helps you tell Viton® fluoroelastomer apart from other materials.

Square-Profile Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer Cord Stock

The flat edges of this cord stock contact more surface area than round-profile cord stock, forming a tighter seal in faucets and other stationary parts. It’s also less likely to twist or shift in equipment with repeated pressure changes, such as molding machines. Made of Viton® fluoroelastomer, this cord stock resists a wide range of chemicals, including benzene, boric acid, and ethylene glycol.

X-Profile Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer Cord Stock

Made of Viton® fluoroelastomer, this cord stock resists a wide range of chemicals, including benzene, butyl alcohol, and ethylene glycol. It has four points of contact with surfaces, so it’s less likely to roll or twist in moving parts than round- or square-profile cord stock. When this cord stock is compressed, it flattens into a double-layered seal that holds up to pressure in any direction. It also withstands vibration and heavy wear, so it’s often used in chemical mixers.

Ultra-Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer O-Ring Cord Stock

More chemical resistant than standard Viton® fluoroelastomer, this cord stock is made of Grade ETP Viton® fluoroelastomer. It resists harsh chemicals, such as calcium hydroxide, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and nitric and phosphoric acids. Use it to make round-profile O-rings, which are suitable for a wide range of static and dynamic sealing applications.
