Tank Mixing Nozzles

Circulate tank contents by pumping liquid through these nozzles. For every gallon of liquid that flows through the inlet, suction draws in and mixes about four gallons from the tank. Nozzles should be positioned close to the bottom of your tank.

Self-Stirring Hot Plates for Glass Containers


	NEMA 5-15

A magnet embedded in the heating surface works with a magnetic stirring bar to stir liquids automatically. These hot plates have a hot surface warning light to protect against accidental burns. They are ceramic or ceramic coated, so they clean easily and resist acids and alkalies.

Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Heating Surface—Ceramic-coated aluminum hot plates maintain a uniform temperature across the entire heating surface while resisting warping and buckling at low temperatures.

All of these magnetic stirring bars are corrosion and chemical resistant. Some are available in different colors for easy identification.

Octagon—Octagon stirring bars are the most commonly used shape. They have a large surface area to generate more turbulence than round bars, so they stir up particles for better mixing.

Polygon—Polygon stirring bars spin smoothly like round bars, but also generate turbulence for mixing particles, such as salts, into solutions. Select the large ODs for jobs in drums or tanks.

Capsule—Capsule stirring bars are sized just right for small containers, such as vials, tubes, and gradient makers.

Oval—Oval stirring bars work best with round-bottom flasks.

Triangle—Triangle stirring bars are designed to fit small vials. Use the_3/16” wide bars for 1 mL vials and the _3/8” wide bars for 3-5 mL vials.

Cylinder—Cylinder stirring bars spin more smoothly than octagonal bars.
