    Sump Pump

    Convenient for applications where a sump pit is impractical, this pump includes a basin with a vent on top. It has a float switch with a separate cord that can unplug, so you can replace the switch without replacing the whole pump. Also known as an effluent pump, it accommodates solids up to 3/4" in diameter. It is often used with liquid waste that has passed through a septic tank, so most solids are removed.

    A neoprene diaphragm stands up to oil and chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and deionized water. These pumps have large internal pathways and check valves with flaps to accommodate thick sewage, abrasive slurries, and industrial waste with large solids that would damage standard air-powered double diaphragm pumps. Pumps are self-priming, which means they create a suction force to draw liquid upward to fill the pump chamber. All are submersible and can run dry.

They are not submersible.

    Circulation Pumps for Fuel and Flammable Liquid

    Pump fuel and flammable liquids, such as isopropyl alcohol and xylene. These pumps have an explosion-proof motor that is rated for environments where hazardous material is present. Maximum temperature is 250° F or the boiling point of the liquid being pumped, whichever is lower. The motor is totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) for use in dusty, dirty, and damp environments. Pumps are gravity fed and require an elevated liquid source. Do not run dry or use with solids.
    Note: If flow control is needed, place valves or reducers on the discharge side; never restrict the inlet of a pump with a valve or reducer.

    316 Stainless Steel Air-Powered Double Diaphragm Pumps for Oil, Chemicals, Fuel, and Large Solids

    With a 316 stainless steel housing and a fluoroelastomer diaphragm, these pumps resist a variety of harsh acids and alkalies, such as phosphoric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid. They have large internal pathways and check valves with flaps to accommodate thick sewage, abrasive slurries, and industrial waste with large solids that would damage standard air-powered double diaphragm pumps. All are self-priming, which means they create a suction force to draw liquid upward to fill the pump chamber. Pumps are submersible and can run dry.

    Drum Pumps for Fuel and Flammable Liquid

    All of these pumps have bonding and grounding wires, while some also have an internal flame arrester, to pump fuel, cleaning solvents, and lacquer thinners.
    Always bond and ground your application for static control. For more information about bonding and grounding, see Sections 1910.106 and 1910.107 of the Federal OSHA Code or see bonding and grounding equipment.
    Steel Housing—Steel pumps work with fuels and flammable liquids, but not especially aggressive and corrosive chemicals.
    316 Stainless Steel Housing—Stainless steel pumps handle aggressive and corrosive liquids that steel pumps cannot.
    For 5 gal. Containers—Pumps for 5-gallon containers have a drum connector that fits Rieke flex spouts and two screw cap adapters: 1 3/4" and 2 1/8".
    Repair Kits—Repair kits include components such as gaskets and pistons.
