Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets with Powered Air-Purifying Respirator

Filter out harmful air while you weld. These helmets have a built-in connection for the included powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR). The respirator supplies continuous filtered air to reduce breathing effort and minimize heat buildup inside these helmets. It also filters out at least 99.5% of harmful particles like smoke, aerosols, and dust. For comfortable all-day wear, they are lightweight and connect to a belt on your back for unrestricted movement. A rechargeable battery powers the respirator for up to 18 hours.
When you start to weld, five sensors detect the light and automatically darken the lens. Unlike traditional green welding lenses, these helmets use a true color lens to enhance clarity and color accuracy. They allow for a better look at your weld pool to increase weld quality and reduce eye strain. A nose cutout lets these helmets sit closer to your face for a six-times larger viewing area than standard helmets for higher quality welds. Without the need for a larger lens to enhance peripheral vision, these helmets are lighter and have longer battery life. Solar cells recharge the helmet’s battery while you work.
Helmets with an internal slide-up lens offer a clear view for grinding and other tasks that require impact protection without a shaded view. Turn the external knob to slide the lens up without removing your head protection. These helmets also have a removable hard hat for additional head protection when needed.
Optical clarity measures how clearly a welder can see through the lens based on four categories: visual accuracy, light diffusion, consistency, and distortion. Each category is given a rating on a scale of 1 to 3. The lower the number, the better the clarity. Better optical clarity allows for precise welds, reduces eye strain, and improves focus.

Welding Face Shields

For full-face protection while welding, select one of these shields. They meet ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact standards when worn with safety glasses or goggles. All have a ratchet adjustment with an easy-turn knob.
Flip-up lenses have a welding shade that raises to expose a viewing lens. These shields are good for cutting and brazing jobs.
Face shields with chin guard provide added protection.

Hard-Hat Mount Welding Face Shields
Ideal for welders that face flying debris, these shields give you full face protection and snap onto a hard hat. When you’re ready to weld, flip down the welding lens. They’re compatible with any cap-style hard hat with slots.
Shields with a green lens filter out infrared light emitted during welding.
Shields with a blue lens increase visibility for tasks that emit bright yellow light, such as welding steel.

Close-Fit Face Shields

The snug-fitting goggles attached to this face shield add protection from dust, liquids, and debris. They are designed to fit over most prescription glasses.
Shields with a flip-up lens are ideal for switching between tasks. Flip the shield down for full face protection, or flip it up when you only need to protect your eyes. You can also detach the shield when it’s not needed. Those with a goggle shade number protect your eyes from infrared light, such as during light brazing and plasma cutting.
