Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets

Protect your eyes the moment you start welding—four sensors detect the light and automatically darken the lens. Unlike traditional green welding lenses, these helmets use a true color lens to enhance clarity and color accuracy. They allow for a better look at your weld pool to increase weld quality and reduce eye strain. To customize the helmet’s fit so you can focus on welding, these helmets have a ratchet adjustment with an easy-turn knob. Solar cells recharge the helmet’s battery while you work.
Nylon plastic helmets offer a wider range of shade numbers and better optical clarity than polycarbonate helmets. They use digital controls to adjust settings such as shade number, light sensitivity, and mode selection.
Optical clarity measures how clearly a welder can see through the lens based on four categories: visual accuracy, light diffusion, consistency, and distortion. Each category is given a rating on a scale of 1 to 3. The lower the number, the better the clarity. Better optical clarity allows for precise welds, reduces eye strain, and improves focus.

Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets with Bluetooth
Protect your eyes the moment you start welding with a helmet that senses light and automatically darkens. You can change the shade of the lens without removing these helmets by using a Bluetooth-connected app. The app also monitors battery life and tracks the time spent cutting. Save up to 10 setting combinations to switch tasks quickly. Along with the app, these helmets use a tap function to switch between welding and grinding modes. To change modes, tap the side of the helmet twice.
To improve your weld quality and decrease eye strain, you can switch between cool, neutral, and warm tones. The true color lens enhances clarity and color accuracy to reduce the color distortion of your view.
Every inch of these helmets is designed to improve your welding experience. A rounded, slim design helps you fit in tight spaces. Levers adjust the helmet’s tilt and position on your head. The head suspension sits comfortably on the back of the head and balances the helmet’s weight for a barely-there feel. Side windows increase peripheral vision for high-quality welds.
Use side window covers when you need to block peripheral light.

Low-Profile Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets
Also known as pancake welding helmets, these helmets have a flat face so you can get close to your welds. They’re often used when welding pipes, but are also useful where a standard welding helmet would be too bulky. These helmets extend further on one side than a standard welding helmet does for increased face protection from UV light, sparks, and spatter. A balsa wood box mounted inside the helmet fits around your face and eyes to block all light, even when working outdoors. Sand the box for a customizable fit. Designed for all-day comfort, they’re made of lightweight carbon fiber and have an open back for plenty of airflow.
These helmets have a large viewing area for a clear view of your workspace. The instant you start to weld, the lens darkens. Solar cells recharge the helmet’s battery while you work.
Choose a helmet based on which hand you use to hold your torch—they’re designed to protect the side opposite your welding hand, where sparks are most likely to fly. This means that left-hand helmets extend further on the right while right-hand helmets extend further on the left.
Warning: These helmets are made of carbon fiber, a conductive material. Never let them touch the welding rod holder and the material your ground cable is on at the same time. This could result in electrical shocks, burns, or eye injuries.

Auto-Darkening Welding Safety Goggles with Hood

Get up close to your welds with these goggles. Their lightweight, compact design lets you weld in tight spots or awkward positions. A flame-resistant hood shields your ears, head, and neck from sparks and spatter better than traditional welding helmets. For different protection needs, wear them over prescription glasses, under a hard hat, or without the hood. Use the external controls to adjust power and shade settings without removing these goggles.
As you begin to weld, two sensors detect the light and automatically darken the lens. Unlike traditional green welding lenses, these goggles use a true color lens to enhance clarity and color accuracy. They allow for a better look at your weld pool to increase weld quality and reduce eye strain.

Powered Air-Purifying Hood Respirators

The most mobile respirators in our offering—these powered respirators allow a wider range of motion than supplied-air respirators. The blower straps around your waist to allow unrestricted movement. They’re often used for jobs such as painting and applications where you need to move around. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, these respirators don’t press directly against your face. They include a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that powers them for approximately four hours. To alert you to low battery and low airflow, they have an alarm with two distinct sounds that can be heard inside the hood.
Made of Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC), these hoods are chemical resistant. They have two layers: an outer bib for overspray protection and an inner bib that tucks into your clothing for splash protection. Turn the knob to adjust the hood’s ratchet suspension for a personalized fit.
Respirators with a hard hat are best for jobsites where there is a risk of falling objects or an on-site hard hat requirement. The hard hat fits inside the hood.
Harnesses (sold separately) make it comfortable to wear the respirator for long periods by distributing its weight and reducing pressure on your lower back.

Blowers for Powered Air-Purifying Respirators
Replace the blower when it’s worn or damaged to keep air flowing through your powered respirator. Blowers suck in air and push it through a filter or cartridge to deliver clean air. They’re battery powered for portability, with a gauge telling you how much battery life is left. To keep you safe, a low-battery alarm will go off when it’s time to recharge the battery. A low-flow alarm sounds when you need to change your filter or cartridge.
NEC rated blowers prevent sparks that could ignite flammable or combustible particles in the air. Use them when working in environments where flammable and explosive vapors, gases, and fabrics may be present.
Choose a filter or cartridge (sold separately) to remove harmful particles from the air. Cartridges also remove gases and vapors.

Welding Face Masks

These face masks are double-layered to protect your head from radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks. They are designed to meet NFPA 1971 standards for structural firefighting. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
Nomex aramid is heavier than PBI, yet breathable and moisture wicking. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. This is the most common PPE category for standard industrial applications.
PBI is lightweight and provides better wear- and heat-resistance than Nomex.

Welding Caps

Protect the back of your head and neck from sparks with these flame-resistant welding caps.
Style A caps fit under your welding helmet. They’re made from a proprietary blend of strong carbon fibers and heat-resistant aramid.
Style B caps attach to the suspension on your helmet to prevent glare. The curved design extends over your head and blocks light from your facility, the sun, or other welders. These caps are made of double-layered flame-resistant cotton. Detach the neck drape when you don’t need the extra spark protection.
