    Notched Washers

Hammer nails into the notches to prevent these washers from rotating during installation. They have a large outer diameter to distribute pressure over a wide surface area and stop nuts and screws from digging into your material. Washers are versatile enough for a wide variety of wood construction applications, such as beams, joists, and trusses. Also known as No. 10 Western Timber and Victor washers.

Cast Iron—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these washers to rust.

    Extra-Flexible Notched Conical Disc Springs

    Stacking Configurations

With inner notches that flex easily, these springs compress over twice as far as standard conical disc springs. They return to their original height again and again when decompressed, unlike spring lock washers.
To increase working load or deflection, stack multiple springs. A nested stack increases working load; an inverted stack increases deflection. In a nested and inverted stack, both load and deflection increase. Multiply the original working load or deflection (depending on your configuration) by the number of springs to find your new total.
Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel—Won't corrode when exposed to moisture or mild chemicals, such as ammonia found in cleaning solutions. These springs compress more easily than steel springs, but they're not as strong.
