Compare wire vs. cable and choose the right option based on gauge, number of conductors, insulation, and current rating.

    Abrasion-Resistant Lead Wire

Run power over rough surfaces—this wire has thick insulation that stands up to wear and tear. It’s flame rated, which means it meets requirements for preventing the spread of fire. Also known as hook-up wire.

    Machine Tool Wire

More flexible than standard wire, this wire is often used for internal appliance wiring. The strand count is the number of strands followed by the size of the individual strand. The higher the number of strands, the more flexible the wire. Also known as MTW wire, it’s rated UL 1063 for machine tool wiring.

    High-Temperature Power Cable

Image of Product. Front orientation. Power Cable. High-Temperature Power Cable, Shielded.

    Shielded

When others can't take the heat, this cable delivers power in ovens, furnaces, steel mills, and foundries. The PTFE jacket won't degrade and weaken as temperatures rise. It also resists abrasion, chemicals, oil, and moisture.
Shielded—Shielding stops these cables from acting as antennas that emit electromagnetic interference, which could disrupt nearby equipment such as control or data cables.

Liquid-Tight Flexible Metal Conduit for Fiber Optic Cable (LFMC-FO)

Image of Product. Front orientation. Conduit and Fittings. Liquid-Tight Flexible Metal Conduit for Fiber Optic Cable (LFMC-FO), Silicone Rubber Cover.

    Silicone Rubber

    Cover

Keep fiber optic signals clear with conduit that’s flexible enough to weave through tight spaces and strong enough to resist compressing and overbending. The stainless steel core won't rust, and the protective cover seals liquid out.
Silicone Rubber Cover—The best protection from chemicals and over-bending. The cover resists corrosion, and fiberglass braiding inside this conduit prevents stretching to protect cable during installation. It withstands higher temperatures, but it's not as resistant to compression or impact as conduit with a PVC cover.
