Compare wire vs. cable and choose the right option based on gauge, number of conductors, insulation, and current rating.

    Shielded

    Double Shielded

Often used in radio transmission, network connections, and digital audio feed, this cable transmits audio, video, and data signals.
Shielded—Shielded cable has a layer of braid that blocks signal interference from nearby equipment and devices.
Double Shielded—Double shielded cable has a layer of braid and foil shielding for better protection against signal interference than foil alone. Use it in environments with high signal distortion, such as near transformers, generators, and heavy duty motors.
RG-6/U Cable—RG-6/U cable is good for medium to high frequency transmissions and is often used in satellite signal transmission.
RG-59/U Cable—RG-58/U and RG-59/U cable are good for low frequency transmissions such as radio signals.
RG-62A/U Cable—RG-62A/U cable is often used in computer networks and electronics.
RG-174/U Cable—RG-174/U cable has a small diameter, so it’s easy to coil.
RG-316/U Cable—RG-316/U cable has the smallest diameter, so it is extremely flexible for routing in tight spaces. Its FEP insulation withstands high temperatures. It is often used in military equipment.

    Build-Your-Own Wire Tamper-Evident Seals

Create custom-length seals for large or oddly shaped items using a lock and wire. Cut the wire to the length you need, then insert the ends of the wire into the lock and use a seal press (sold separately) to close.
