Miter, Chop, and Table Saw Blades for Wood

Cut wood, plywood, and particleboard. Choose blades with more teeth for cutting across the grain; choose blades with fewer teeth for cutting with the grain (ripping). Blades with a narrower width of cut make faster cuts with less material loss.

Smooth-Cut Miter, Chop, and Table Saw Blades for Wood

With a large number of teeth, these blades make smooth cuts across the wood grain for a finish that needs minimal sanding. To keep your cuts straight and accurate, they have laser-cut anti-vibration vents that add stability. The vents also dissipate heat to prevent dulling. Use these blades on wood, plywood, and particleboard. They’re good for applications such as making long, accurate cuts on a sheet of plywood or cutting bevels and angles into wood framing to make a door or window.
When choosing a blade, you’ll want to keep in mind the number of teeth and width of cut. Choose more teeth for cutting across the grain; choose fewer teeth for cutting with the grain (ripping) or through thicker materials. A narrower cut width makes faster cuts with minimal material loss; a wider cut width increases stability for straighter cuts.
Blades with an aluminum-alloy-coated body further reduce heat buildup when cutting. This protects your material from burning and keeps dust from sticking to your blade and gumming it up. The coating also prevents the blade from dulling.
Warning: Use blades that have a greater rpm rating than the no-load rpm of your tool.

Multipurpose Miter and Chop Saw Blades

Cut through metal, plastic, and other materials without having to change blades. These blades have carbide-tipped teeth that make clean cuts through plastic while being durable enough to make burr-free cuts through metal.
When choosing a blade, you'll want to keep in mind the number of teeth and the width of the cut. Choose more teeth for a smoother cut; choose fewer teeth for a faster cut and for cutting thicker materials. A narrower cut width makes faster cuts with minimal material loss; a wider cut width increases stability for straighter cuts.

Electric Miter Saws
Often used to create door frames and aluminum supports, these saws make precise angled cuts for tight-fitting joints. The head swivels to make miter cuts across the face of your material.
Style A saws have a tilting head that makes beveled cuts through the thickness of your material. Use these saws on wood and soft metals such as aluminum and copper.
Style B saws cut harder metals than Style A saws—and they do so without coolant or excessive heat, which can warp your workpiece. By running at slower speeds than all of our other miter saws, they handle steel, stainless steel, and other hard metals, as well as soft metals, such as aluminum. Compared to saws with abrasive wheels, they cut more quickly and create fewer sparks.
Saws that cannot be sold outside the United States are restricted due to product regulations.

Set up anywhere in your facility to make angled cuts in material that's too wide for a standard miter saw—the arm on these saws slides for added reach. These saws cut with the same power as an electric miter saw but without needing an outlet nearby. A brushless motor optimizes battery life, so these saws run longer on a single charge. The motor also enhances longevity because it runs cool and has few moving parts that require maintenance.
Use them to create joints that require a tight fit, such as door frames and aluminum supports. Swivel the head for angled cuts across the face of your material and tilt the head for beveled cuts through the thickness of your material. To help you position your material for an accurate cut, a light casts a line of shadow where the blade will meet the workpiece.
Milwaukee saws with Bluetooth connection link to a free downloadable app, Milwaukee One-Key. From your phone, you can track your tool, monitor usage, and get notifications for maintenance.
Makita saws have a higher voltage than other saws, which helps them maintain speed while cutting thick and hard materials. They also give you more cuts per charge. An electric brake stops the blade when you release the trigger to let you reposition your workpiece and move to your next cut.
Some saws include a rechargeable battery. For saws where the battery is not included, see Milwaukee batteries and chargers and Makita batteries and chargers.
