Nonconductive Build-Your-Own Fixed Work Platforms
These platforms are nonconductive fiberglass. Configure them to fit your application. For good slip resistance, platforms are perforated and stairs are grit coated.
First, determine how high your work platform needs to be and choose the stairs that accommodate that height. Then, choose a platform section based on the desired length. Next, choose platform supports that correspond to the height of your stairs—each end of the platform must be supported by a platform support. Finally, choose handrails for the stairs and platform. Assembled work platforms should be secured to a supporting surface.
Note: Work platforms meet OSHA dimensional standards. Users are responsible for checking local, state, and federal codes, including OSHA, for safe installation and operating practices. Work platforms also meet CAL-OSHA standards, which is required for use in California.

Clean Room Work Platforms
Access elevated areas with these platforms that meet Fed. Std. Class 100 and ISO Class 5 clean room requirements. They are 316 stainless steel to withstand repeated washdowns. They also have a smooth finish and seamless welds, so there are no cracks or crevices that can harbor dust, dirt, and bacteria. Steps and platform are perforated to provide slip resistance. Easily move the platform with the four swivel casters. They’re spring loaded to stay stationary while in use—when you step on, the casters retract; when you step off, the casters roll again.

Rolling Platform Ladders
Move these sturdy ladders between work areas. They have powder or polyurethane coatings to resist rust. The number of steps listed includes the platform.
For regular indoor use, choose a perforated or rubber-coated tread. Perforated tread has raised holes to keep you from slipping. Spring-loaded casters stay stationary while in use—when you step on, the casters retract; when you step off, the casters roll again. Ladders with a step lock keep the casters locked until you tap a foot pedal.

Tilt-to-Roll High-Stability Platform Ladders
Tilt these ladders to roll them on their wheels. When you set them upright again, the wheels lift off the floor to keep them stationary while in use. Made of powder-coated steel, these ladders are durable enough for regular use. The number of steps listed includes the platform.
Style A ladders have a bar across the top platform for added support and stability.
Style B ladders have an open top for access to an elevated surface. A chain secures the opening when not in use.
Diamond steps have an open grid that lets liquids, such as oil, and dirt pass through. Serrated steps also have an open grid but have sharper treads to prevent slipping. Without work boots, standing on them for extended periods may be uncomfortable. Perforated steps give you good slip resistance and allow liquid from wet shoes to drain through.

Extended-Reach Rolling Platform Ladders
With a work platform that extends beyond the base, these rolling ladders—also known as cantilever ladders—provide access to hard-to-reach areas, such as the top of large tanks and over conveyors. Wheel brakes keep these ladders stationary while in use. The number of steps listed includes the platform. Shipped assembled, except the handrails and base require assembly.
Counterbalanced-base ladders use a counterweight to stay stable, so their base isn’t as long as an extended base. As a result, it’s easier to position these ladders over tanks and other equipment where there isn’t room to slide the base underneath. Place the counterweight near the first step before use. Conversion kits turn counterbalanced-base ladders into extended-base ladders, eliminating the need for a counterweight. Without a counterweight, these ladders are easier to move.
Extended-base ladders don’t have a counterweight, so they’re easier to push around than counterbalanced-base ladders. Their base is longer than a counterbalanced base—but it’s only 8 1/4" high, so it can be rolled underneath conveyors and other machinery. Add a counterweight to turn these ladders into counterbalanced-base ladders. With a counterweight in place, you can remove the front base extension and install the front casters on the base section under the stairs.
For regular indoor use, choose a perforated tread. It has raised holes to keep you from slipping.
